Tubthumping is good but it wasnt close to my top 30 list.

Lovefool is just a borefest imo, finally out!

very fond of those 2

I still have memories of dancing like mad to Tubthumping in bars during the late 90s shouting all of the lyrics

Love the Cardigans, Lovefool, Erase/rewind and My Favourite Game are all classic singles, love Nina Persson

Both of those are classic 90's songs but weren't evidently in my votes and not losing any today is good too.

Going against the tide again but I love most Cardigans singles but didn't even like Lovefool when it was first released in 1996
I like both of those, but not enough to vote for them. My Favourite Game is my favourite Cardigans song.

Two brilliant classic 90s singles there and agreed that both should have made #1.

Lovefool is fantastic although I do prefer My Favourite Game.

It's funny that Tubthumping was a worldwide smash and even a top 10 in the US considering it feels like such a 'British' song.

Funnily I got a Brit Pop compilation CD That includes Lovefool ;) bizarrely the only Cardigans single I ever bought was Hanging Around
Love both of those, but agree The cardigans had even better singles. Tubthumping was massive on US radio while I was over there on holiday. It sounded great, rousing compared to most of what was getting pop radio airplay at the time. I think the very positive message is very American, prob why it chimed so much.

Our favourite Blur No 2 hit even if overplayed since its release. Famously it peaked at No 2, was the second single from the album, the second track on the album, lasting 2 minutes 22 seconds and has 2 verses and 2 choruses

NO 17- 227 POINTS

The Last Train To Trancentral The KLF (Voters: Waspbre- 8pts, Jimwatts- 26pts, mark223- 21 pts, Steve201- 2pts, Colm- 25pts, King Rollo- 25pts, Julian T- 23pts, Jason- 7pts, Popchartfreak- 22pts, Dircadirca- 27pts, Chartjack2- 7pts, Jade- 25pts, Dandy*- 9pts)

KLF already bagged our two favourite No 2 tracks of 1991 so one of them had to be the runner up. First released in 1990 it then surfaced as a more commercial version on their album before another remix for the single version!

2 classics and another big loss for my top 30. I thought (wrongly) Id voted for Blur too, but I guess it just got edged out (and I was expecting it to be top 10 anyway :o )

Checked what I got left and I reckon 8 or 9 of 16, but only 4 of my top 10 :o

Ah I'm not sure if I was expecting 'Song 2' right yet but then again a lot of classics here so they could drop anywhere I guess. Great song and memories attached singing that at college! A stomper.

Edited by Roba!

Oh no! 15 points lost today. 2 great songs revealed! Obviously Justified and Ancient is far superior to The Last Train To Trancentral though.

I got left 10 of 16, but 8 of my top 10, not that bad!

Really surprised Right Here, Right Now is top 16. :o

Gave Tender 28 but can actually take or leave Song 2, though can’t argue that it’s a classic.

Last Train To Transcentral is just such a belter. Think it’s my favourite KLF song though their #1 and 2 #2s are all absolutely brill.

No 18- 222 POINTS

Our favourite Blur No 2 hit even if overplayed since its release. Famously it peaked at No 2, was the second single from the album, the second track on the album, lasting 2 minutes 22 seconds and has 2 verses and 2 choruses

And 222 points :magic: woohoo!

Last Train To Trancentral is a dance classic, even if you take away all their shtick about the JAMMs, because it's so euphoric, right down to those "whoa-whoa"s in the final verse.

And 222 points :magic: woohoo!

This is glorious

Amazing that Song 2 got 222 points!! I’ll overlook it not making the top 10 on the basis of that being a far more fitting result :D
