Was wondering if we might see a re-entry for 'Cross Me', not quite but cool to see something entering for PnB. I don't think I've heard 'Selfish' but I did see it was his only song as lead artist that charted in the US (hitting #51) - clearly is quite well remembered there despite the low peak as it's re-entered at #4 on US Spotify and is even #1 on US Apple Music. May have to give it a listen.

 

'Something In The Orange' is actually a really good song, would be here for it being a rare country crossover hit - I noticed it entered the Australian chart as well. (Like SKOB said it is quite soft rock influenced rather than being a full on country song though, it certainly stands out by a mile compared to most other country hits so its success has been quite refreshing, I wish this was a more prominent style on the Hot 100! I guess Chris Stapleton is also in a similar lane and not coincidentally also one of the rare country artists I surprisingly quite like what I've heard from)

Oh I love that Something in the Orange song, is it also Tiktok or are there country/americana fans in the UK?

Looking at Chartoo, 'Something In The Orange' was shockingly as low as the 70s on the UK Apple Music country chart as recently as 28th August but it started rising there rapidly after that and has been top 5 since the start of September, and #1 since the 6th apart from being briefly knocked back down by a couple of old Dolly Parton songs.

 

And of course it's because of a sped up version blowing up on TikTok according to a quick Twitter search lol

Zach Bryan up to #167 today, we love to see it.

 

What we don't love to see is Tory Lanez having a song from his The Weeknd copycat album from last year poking in at #196. We do not need to revive this man's career please. (There's also a newie at #195 for Loyle Carner which is a brand new song)

I hadn't realised how low 'CUFF IT' had dropped before its second wind in the last week or so - this is the first day it's been in the top 50 since 17th August and it dropped out of the top 100 for a while in the mean time.

 

I wish it were almost any other song from the album getting this success, I don't really care at all for this one, but cool if it's another post-album hit I guess ~

 

If there were ever a time that I wish people had just been sheep and went along with what was initially put on the playlists when the album dropped it should have been for 'CHURCH GIRL'. Sad that didn't really catch on.

Anne Marie's latest is #1 on NMF

 

HH has now Lewis as cover and the song is track #2

They added Chris Brown's monstrosity, Rema & Selena
