Love "Another Love" - hope it has a long period in the official top 20 (even top 10) this Autumn as it will sound so beautiful as the nights are drawing in.

The OCC need to change the rules on this. It needs to be automatic for any song that reaches a new peak. It would have solved the Kate Bush situation, plus Fairytale of New York will finally go to #1 haha.

'Another Love' possibly nearing having an actual new daily Spotify peak - the daily positions from its original release don't seem to be archived but its weekly peak back then was #12.

 

If we're doing more liberal SCR resets, I'd definitely be here for 'Sweater Weather' to get one, gorgeous song and a real shame it didn't make the top 40 on its original release! (Same for 'Bound 2' for that matter, hope that might be on track for a top 100 re-entry this week even on ACR).

That would be an interesting rule to implement - would mean Chris Rea, Michael Buble and Brenda Lee could all make the top 5 rather than the old guard of Wham, Mariah, Shaky etc.

I think Chris Rea, Michael Buble, Brenda Lee and others could even all get #1 eventually. Everything that sells half of Mariah/WHAM! for at least one week would be in contention. Probably a different classic or two each year I guess.

 

And anything that's top 25 on ACR selling 25,000 (e.g. Feliz Navidad, Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bell Rock, etc,) would have potential to be selling 50,000 and therefore top 5 on SCR if they haven't peaked there previously and loads of other songs aren't reset the same weeks. The Christmas charts could be weird (although probably more entertaining for us) with that rule, but for the rest of the year I think it would work perfectly.

I agree with this with the exception of resetting Christmas songs due to how messy it would be, but Sweater Weather should definitely get a reset (It should have had one last January really)

i think they will be more willing to grant resets now due to kate and metallica. if the labels of christmas songs request though, it'll defo make for some more interesting charts! The christmas ones are quite boring tbh cos its the same songs going top 5/10/20 each year so if the labels do request it'll make christmas charts better for sure
