September 2, 20224 yr Author Tove Lo being playlisted is a very pleasant surprise, considering they snubbed her previous single! 'Super Freaky Girl' becoming Nicki Minaj's first song to make the A-list as lead artist in... wait for it... TEN YEARS :o that's right, the last one was 'Pound The Alarm' in 2012!! Nice to see Rina and Luude moving up after stalling on the C-list. Hope both can go A-list eventually.
September 2, 20224 yr Author TOVE BACK ON THE PLAYLIST!! I believe for the first time since 2016? Well she did feature on Sean Paul's single 'Calling On Me' which was B-listed a couple of years ago. But yeah before that it was 2016!
September 2, 20224 yr Happy to see 'The Perfect Pair' making it! A lovely bossa nova style song from Beabadoobee. Wow Tove Lo :o I must admit that I'm not in love with this new one, like I was with 'No One Dies From Love' and 'True Romance', but very cool to see nevertheless.
September 2, 20224 yr Great for Tove Lo. Wonder if they’ll add Guetta/Rexha at some point soon. Yeah they will probably next week after seeing it'll be top 10 this week. -- Pleasantly surprised to see Cassyette getting a longer run with SGS over 'Mayhem', doesn't sound the sort R1 would touch nowadays. It's a better song though so I'm happy for it to still be there. Might be it's final week though. Not heard Tove but good for her getting some support.

SGS isn’t too sonically different from the songs by BMTH, Pale Waves, or Yungblud in the A-list really though.

September 2, 20224 yr Is it a bit weird that they've not added Hold Me Closer? I assume they played Cold Heart?
September 2, 20224 yr Is it a bit weird that they've not added Hold Me Closer? I assume they played Cold Heart? Ageist f***s, it’s the norm for them
September 2, 20224 yr Shocked but delighted for Tove :o They've switched from 'Jungle' to 'Turn On The Lights Again' I see. Hopefully it can start gaining some momentum now.
September 2, 20224 yr I was hoping Sigala’s latest single would be added seeing as his previous single has been removed
September 2, 20224 yr I was hoping Sigala’s latest single would be added seeing as his previous single has been removed You really expect a lot lol
September 2, 20224 yr Is it a bit weird that they've not added Hold Me Closer? I assume they played Cold Heart? Radio 1 added Cold Heart on week 7, it was #2 at the time. If Hold Me Closer sticks around in the top 10 (which I’m not sure it will) then they will begrudgingly add it, but if it free falls there’s no chance.
September 2, 20224 yr they only ended up supporting Cold Heart cos it became a big hit and had Dua Lipa on it, I don’t expect Hold Me Closer will get that same treatment.
September 2, 20224 yr I actually heard 'No One Dies From Love' on Radio 1 a couple of times so was a little surprised they never got around to playlisting that! '2 Die 4' is not quite as great as the other 3 singles from this album so far for me but still another good one so happy to see it showing up here - I hadn't really been a big fan of anything else she had released since 'Talking Body' but she has been on fire this year. Great add from beabadoobee too (makes sense to push this song a bit as it's had a moderately decent amount of viral success already, not sure if it's got much chance of becoming an actual hit though) and the Burna Boy and Oxlade songs are nice too, also at least like the instrumental of the Fred again.. song, just could do without bringing back one of Future's wailiest vocals. Still wondering if 'KU LO SA' will ever have a proper studio version released though (unless I am mistaken I believe the only version available to stream is a live version). Also just heard that Rina song the other day and it's easily my fave from this era so far and maybe my favourite song to date from her, yay for that moving up ~ Most important news of the week though - ROSALÍA officially scoring a new best, graduating from 3 weeks on the C-List to 4 weeks on the C-List :cheer: :kink:
