September 12, 20223 yr Great to see KT Tunstall in the Top 10, i just hope she doesn't fall really hard for the rest of the week, i think she will be lucky to stay top 30 though. Surely she won't fall 25+ places from #6?
September 12, 20223 yr Surely she won't fall 25+ places from #6? Steve Hackett went from Monday #5 to Friday #28 just last week.
September 12, 20223 yr I imagine she'd hold up slightly better than that though. She'll be low top 20 I would have thought.
September 12, 20223 yr Did same f**k crap not complaining me brightside can stick where sun don’t shine long perfect someone you loved and heat waves That's the UK Charts for you.
September 13, 20223 yr Fair play to Robbie pulling in those sales - I’ve had a few emails about it and the various formats but I don’t feel as if it’s been really heavily pushed? Also understandably there is no promo that was planned for the album this week. Even if the sales do turn out to be heavily front loaded it’s a really strong showing and shows he is still a force that can sell an abundance of physicals.
September 13, 20223 yr There was a tour bundle too I believe, early access to tickets if you bought the album from his site. I bought the 2CD version the other day and I'm really impressed by it, love most of the new tracks and a lot of the reworkings are great. A few aren't, but overall it's a very solid collection and more interesting than just another greatest hits.
September 13, 20223 yr Did Robbie actually have some promotion planned which had to be cancelled for obvious reasons? Or was there none planned anyway? I feel like an orchestral performance of 'Angels' or 'She's The One' would be very appropriate this week.
September 13, 20223 yr I wonder if Robbie's team will re-release the album in November? September feels very early for something that should be huge on gifting.
September 13, 20223 yr Not sure what the point of re-releasing it would be but if they have any sense they'll do some more promotion around then.
September 13, 20223 yr I'm not sure why releasing the album in September would have any bearing on it selling as a gift later in the year? You're the second person to say this now and I don't really get the logic, the album doesn't cease existing after its first week on sale... :kink:
September 13, 20223 yr I think perhaps because it'll probably be very out of sight and out of mind by the time Christmas comes around? Unless he promotes it around that point.
September 13, 20223 yr I wonder if Robbie's team will re-release the album in November? September feels very early for something that should be huge on gifting. Can’t see them re-releasing it in 8 weeks, and they’ve got in early to secure the #1 and not have a chart battle perhaps. Robbie is not shy about doing the promo circuit so I’m sure they have plans to keep it selling over the Q4 period.
September 13, 20223 yr I must be alone in really liking Forget Me - mind you I loved Bag It Up, so what I do know hahaha
September 13, 20223 yr There’s no doubt Robbie will be promoting in the run up to Xmas, this is basically the start of the Q4 campaigns!
September 13, 20223 yr I actually think it's a bad idea for RW to release in Sept, it would have done much much better close to Xmad it's the perfect xmas gift :)
September 13, 20223 yr I actually think it's a bad idea for RW to release in Sept, it would have done much much better close to Xmad it's the perfect xmas gift :) It would've done much better than going to Number 1 on its first week.
September 13, 20223 yr The Amazons have reduced their iTunes download to £4.99 and the CD and Cassette on their website to the same price to try and maintain Top 10 I’m guessing

I feel like an orchestral performance of 'Angels' or 'She's The One' would be very appropriate this week. He was going to play at the NTA's this week and headlining Radio Two live in Leeds. That was it I think
