I imagine she'd hold up slightly better than that though. She'll be low top 20 I would have thought.

Fair play to Robbie pulling in those sales - I’ve had a few emails about it and the various formats but I don’t feel as if it’s been really heavily pushed? Also understandably there is no promo that was planned for the album this week.

 

Even if the sales do turn out to be heavily front loaded it’s a really strong showing and shows he is still a force that can sell an abundance of physicals.

There was a tour bundle too I believe, early access to tickets if you bought the album from his site.

 

I bought the 2CD version the other day and I'm really impressed by it, love most of the new tracks and a lot of the reworkings are great. A few aren't, but overall it's a very solid collection and more interesting than just another greatest hits.

Did Robbie actually have some promotion planned which had to be cancelled for obvious reasons? Or was there none planned anyway? I feel like an orchestral performance of 'Angels' or 'She's The One' would be very appropriate this week.

I wonder if Robbie's team will re-release the album in November? September feels very early for something that should be huge on gifting.

Not sure what the point of re-releasing it would be but if they have any sense they'll do some more promotion around then.

I'm not sure why releasing the album in September would have any bearing on it selling as a gift later in the year? You're the second person to say this now and I don't really get the logic, the album doesn't cease existing after its first week on sale... :kink:

I think perhaps because it'll probably be very out of sight and out of mind by the time Christmas comes around? Unless he promotes it around that point.

Can’t see them re-releasing it in 8 weeks, and they’ve got in early to secure the #1 and not have a chart battle perhaps.

 

Robbie is not shy about doing the promo circuit so I’m sure they have plans to keep it selling over the Q4 period.

There’s no doubt Robbie will be promoting in the run up to Xmas, this is basically the start of the Q4 campaigns!

He was going to play at the NTA's this week and headlining Radio Two live in Leeds. That was it I think
