Sade - Smooth Operator too <3

and The Smiths - Hand in Glove from their debut album, actually the debut does not include This Charming Man, that was only added to the US album not the UK album

We'll actually only be covering 43 albums this time btw, taking us up to October 1985 - it was going to be 44 but I decided to queue a slightly longer version of one of the songs to give us a better album to end on / begin with next week :magic:

As such, not that anyone nominated anything from them, the Iron Maiden and ZZ Top albums actually fall into next week's potential bonus albums.

This week we see the birth of that one big compilation album series (and that other one too). And only 4 albums today that were not on Spotify, plus most of the songs have music videos - hooray for getting closer to the modern day B-)

Not the most fruitful week for great discoveries for me really, I was shamefully not really familiar with 'Cloudbusting' before and that was great, otherwise Big Country and Duran Duran are the only ones of much note. The 2 Bowie songs were both pretty good too.

I did get another fab discovery from the bonuses as well in the form of that Public Image Ltd. song (which I may have only played because I accidentally typed 'public image' into the song field instead of artist on Polyhex  but it is their most streamed song on Spotify apart from a remix anyway tbf x)

Thanks again Bré!

Jim, Wardy and I are having another Zoom meet-up this coming Friday evening. Just let one of us know if you’d like to join. :)

Sorry for last minute change of plans but going to do tomorrow's session a bit earlier than usual (aiming for a 2pm start), hope people should still be able to make that! (It would normally be me complaining about last minute earlier starts :basil:)
I’m away in the Malverns with people this weekend and doesn’t look like I’ll be able to join without being antisocial unfortunately!

I'm in Barcelona, probably won't be able to listen at that time cos that's paella time in here :D maybe later

thinking of #2s, if I remember it well A-ha peaked at #2 with their first 3 albums, so they should really get a play

my fav songs from A-ha is Hunting High and Low from their debut, so voting for that Sogn if possible

I didn't think it got as high as that and I didn't check!
