I think Pink has always been good at sounding herself even when changing styles-which isn’t something she’s known for in recent years. But this sort of reminds me of Can We Pretend? Very different sound for Pink but still sounding absolutely like a Pink song.

 

I’m loving the upbeat feel and agree, it’s been a rough few years and this is kind of the vibe that is needed.

This sound is not different for her at all. She has had plenty of Max Martin bops like this in the past.

Sonically it may be no different but it lacks the attitude of her earlier lead singles and doesn’t sound anything like What About Us or Walk Me Home.

#33 midweek! Doubtful but would love to see her get at least Top 40 with it in a relatively busy week

Top 40 would be great. Hopefully it can hold. Agree charts are rubbish, though that’s just my opinion.

Same here ie hope it can hold on but I think that it's extremely unlikely I'm afraid. Just hope it doesn't nosedive too far by Friday. I way prefer it to a lot of her singles in recent memory.

I think this even struggle in Australia where she use to get #1’s or top 5-10 hits at ease.

33 is great start, probably wont hold on to top 40 but hopefully she can stay top 50.

Pleasantly surprised at it being #37 today. Would be lovely if it could hang on but I'm inclined to agree that it'll miss out annoyingly. That result would have been better than I projected for it as I wrote it off sounding like a hit. Maybe with some help and promotion maybe it could have turned into one after all.

Ya i thought it would be out, i wonder has it any chance at all at staying in, even it was at number 40 itself.

Missed the tip 50 in Australia. :(

As expected. I just have so little interest in the charts now and I think, bar scraping a low end top 40, Pink’s time in the singles chart is pretty much done.

Yeah it's sad that it's come to that point for her to get a lead single miss the top 40 now but I'm still impressed she managed to sustain that constant success as long as she did.

I think you both make good points. She’s had an exceptional career to date, it’s just the way the charts go now.
