I heard this in a club last night, I can confirm it passes the dancefloor test with flying colours.

I'm now more convinced it's definitely missing a 3rd chorus and a middle-8 though. It's over too soon and fizzles out.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

I see on kylie gold page that padam padam was originally meant to be a duet with Dua Lipa but it didnt work out but some of Duas vocals are still on the backing track.

I think that was made up by fans to get people to stream it lol

10 out of 10 debuted at 29 in Big Top 40 on Capital so surely Padam Padam is going to debut in the top 20 and get a play on the Capital FM

#1 surely, as the Top 10 is usually the same as the iTunes chart.

Really?? I thought Big 40 was made up of Itunes, Apple streams and radio play

Gosh I hope so.....

I think last 3 of her releases where something like

29 10 out of 10

24 Second to Midnight

7 Real Groove + Dua

Ps. Is there any chance she not perform Padam Padam tonight on American Idol? I don't think she will have much time as it seems a packed show but a Padam mash up with CGYOOfMH?

I am guessing the Big 40 top 3 will be

1 Loreen

2 Kylie

3 Ellie

?? I haven't been listening so maybe Kylie has already been positioned? I guess having Loreen in the studio means she is top of chart

Edit. KYLIE number 3 on Capital Big 40. They played it too nice

I thought this was quite strange on first listen but it’s very quickly rocketed up in my affections. What a BOP.

Currently #21 in the UK!

And finally, just outside the First Look Top 20 rides the undisputed Princess of Pop Kylie Minogue who is back with new single Padam Padam (21). The electro song has caused quite the stir among her fans, and if the early buzz continues it could well be Kylie’s highest Official Singles Chart Top 40 entry in almost a decade, since 2014’s Into The Blue.

Does this mean that she will chart in the top 40 come friday or what?

Another 443k streams on Spotify Worldwide on Saturday

Excellent for Kylie

Worth noting that when Kylie usually drops quickly down the midweek chart before streaming is usually very low, her youtube is low and she ends the week in the 40-50s or lower on itunes

She is still number 1 on Itunes, streaming and YouTube still strong, so I don't think she will plummet.

We could still see BMG put something out on her website like a 99p remix track to keep it higher.

Remember they watch stuff, they did it with Dancing!

Probably not. She needs to keep having streaming, YouTube Views and also lots more downloads from passive fans

Does this mean that she will chart in the top 40 come friday or what?

No, not unless there is a massive push from fans to stream and also buy from 7Digital, iTunes, and Qobuz

They forgot about Dancing!

That only got to #36 I think?

Edit. #38

Oh I think I read it wrong I thought they meant first top 40 entry since Into the Blue

I do agree with this, what is there is excellent but it needs another chorus for sure and something before it.

If BMG prepared physical single formats for release week and did the actual release on a friday, she maybe would have had a chance, I guess OCC are just getting way ahead of themselves with this article...
