Apple Music are throwing their support behind PP

Hot Songs #2

Todays Easy Hits #2

Todays Hits #5

A List Pop #5

Dance Pop Hits #17

Fantastic support from Apple! I don’t have Apple Music, but apparently Hot Songs is one of the most influential playlists on there. Very encouraging!

#39 in Australia! First top 40 since Timebomb :w00t:

 Really happy about this! Her Wikipedia discography had previously listed her “Song Sales” chart peaks for her 2020s section, but now they’ve had to update it to the main Australian chart because of Padam Padam! :cheer:

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

Should pass the Loco-motion today.

Annoyingly the official video for Locomotion is over 24 million views but it’s assigned to PWL Channel. EFY weirdly is on Kylie’s channel with 25 million and there’s a separate HD one on PWL with over 14 million.

Her YT is all over the place, guess it’s because she’s been slaying across so many eras. Queen Slaylie.

Not sure why the PP audio is hard to find too, it’s on her channel somewhere but not listed on her page or summary list via Kworb.

Where did Timebomb enter in Australia? Entering the top 40 in Australia in the streaming era is great news.

Added at number 6 on Spotify 'Massive Dance Hits' the UKs biggest dance playlist. 1.3m listeners :cheer: :cheer:

I think it's being released way too soon tbh.
I think it's being released way too soon tbh.

I’m guessing it’s a knee jerk reaction as CDs are so quick and easy to produce, I’m sure a 7” vinyl is in the works but probably not ready for a while so they’ve given us this.

There will be other drops of remixes and potential promo, if the CD single can keep it afloat while streaming and radio play builds then that’s a positive I think?

Release date is 9th June, so I think it may be peaking quite a bit higher by then.

Oh, I got the impression it was being rush released today - that makes more sense.

Padam Padam added to capital radio :D

Yaaas a CD single! :w00t: Purchased!

It's £3.99 plus £3 postage = £6.99, so this isn't exactly the "99p and free postage" incentive from the likes of Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran. I won't expect mega sales but hopefully it's enough that it'll lift Padam Padam up a couple of positions?

In theory it should contribute towards Week 4 of Padam Padam - hopefully that happens to be its biggest week yet and the CDs are really beneficial. (There's always a slight chance that they'll contribute the data on the release date and it actually go towards Week 3).

I do wish that BMG had kept the CD singles going for the collectors. I thought it was a bit strange that they didn't consider utilising them until A Second to Midnight. Dancing was screaming out for one (there was on in Australia... which became ridiculously rare).

^^ I still expect the CD to sell well, not the frenzy of the 99p signed singles by other artists like you said but Kylie has such a collector fanbase that they’ll be snapped up at this price.

It does say shipping from 2nd so we know sometimes the sales cross over to different weeks so could still be messy. Hopefully all count for week commencing 9th June

Itunes UK

1 Tina Turner

2 Kylie Minogue

Also Kylie fans often by 2 of each

FFS - I wanted to wait and see where Kylie entered today when it was officially announced, I’ve just been on insta and an account I follow (not Kylie related) have posted it on their story
