Kylie Minogue Notches First Top 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart With ‘Padam Padam’

The track, which introduces Minogue’s album Tension, due Sept. 22, earned 1.6 million official streams (up 15%) and sold 1,000 downloads in the United States in the May 26-June 1 tracking week, according to Luminate.

 

In the UK in the same week she got 13k streaming equivalent sales, which is more or less 1.5 million streams. So basically Kylie is getting the same, if not more, amount of streams in the USA as in UK, despite nowhere to be seen in the main charts.

If Kylie fans stream both the single and extended mixes 10 times each alternately and then the Playlists do their job for the General Phlci should also be a good start streaming

Highly likely she will the top position and be down to around 4 or 5 this morning as I think BTS, Sam & Madge, Nathan Dawe & Ella will all overtake in the new song surge.

 

Kylie probably had a good surge late last night though so should be battle in momentum .

 

Keep purchasing all versions as they will all build up her sales

I think it will, but not much.

 

It’s actually handy residing in Mexico for the chart purposes, as evading the spoilers will be much easier for me due to me going to sleep right now. :lol: I’ll be happy with any top-15 outcome, but I hope it somehow clings into the top-10, so the fanbase can finally rest.

I guess Hot Hits will always get big new additions every week from the big Record Companies who control it. BMG and Kylie have little influence and are happy I guess to feature anywhere......

 

The most playlists the better, the more organic growth too. Its very competitive everywhere now...... consistency and steadiness is important for her

Well at least it climbed and us back in the aussie top 40, hopefully it can in the top 30 here in Ireland, it was 30 last week.

I am guessing she will go back to Australia to promote soon, it wouldn't take much to push that higher with a TV appearance etc.

 

Having said that back top 40 isn't a bad thing!! Could do better this week as it has started strongly on itunes

Well it has a release date and a time of 2.56 and I've seen it on a few forums.

Good new re the US chart….that’s also positive signs for long term big streaming numbers….would love it to pass 100 million on spotify in the not too distant.

 

Oh, she’s officially 3 on the UK Airplay Chart, down 1. Was at 1 during the week but overtaken from Wednesday. The Airplay data will be interesting to see when it’s released later, sure it’s still achieving high audience and plays…doing so well.

I’m sure she is #1 overall on iTunes with 3 versions in the Top 15.
