Late getting the info today, its great seeing Kylie matching the peak of into the blue but i wont lie its disappointing to see her miss the top 10 by so little, a remix during the week would have got her top 10 this week.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

It could be quite clever as we try even harder this week to push it top 10.

Also Remixes for Streaming will probably be used to avoid ACR etc.

Can't believe people getting upset after a Kylie chart run of 26, 23, 12 and still growing

I’m getting sponsored adverts constantly on social media - a new one has popped up with the video of Kylie signing the CD singles, hopefully will encourage a few sales.

I think they will keep up the momentum this week with daily links for streaming etc.,

And even if #12 is it’s peak I’m not mad at it, the general public already think it’s been #1 due to the Big Top 40 and the amount of coverage the single has had

Just listening to some of Erika Jayne videos on YouTube and I actually can imagine her with a verse on Padam Padam especially when you listen to 'How Many F*cks' tune lol

Could be fun for a US Audience when she goes over there next week. American LGBT community seem to love her.

I agree the public thinks its a number 1 due to the Big Top 40 and the media coverage adds to that, its really only us chart freaks that know it so far has a peak of number 12,.

No point in "This should've..." "That could've..." They didn't do it and it is what it is. We know what is available and we need to do the very best with that and I am really confident that she will hit 9 or 10 this week. I will continue to do what I can via VPN. If after your daily cycle of streaming and you feel inclined Australian VPN's are available. We need some help over here, I refuse to accept a peak of 39 for this song :)

#12 is kind of bittersweet! More sweet, of course. It's an incredible position none of us would have dreamt could have possible last month. I'm so, sooo pleased for Kylie... and us!

Missing the #10 by such a close margin, it's a slight shame. It does feel BMG could have done slightly more. But hey, they didn't. I suppose if I'm going to look for a silver lining, it's that the fanbase won't rest on their laurels - the passion to do our best to get Kylie into the Top 10 continues!

Great news that there's now a cassette format, that should hopefully keep the physical sales ticking along nicely. Presumably it won't sell as well as the CD did, but still well enough to be helpful. Hopefully the cassette, and the Extended Mix now being widely available, makes Week 4 another great week of position/sales.

I ordered a cassette by the way! :cheer:

I'm keeping everything crossed that there will be a vinyl release eventually. Imagine a 3 format collection of Padam Padam! Or maybe even 4 - I'd so be here for both a 7" and a 12".

Interesting discussion that ensued on one of my friend's Facebook post. He said "I love a bit of Kylie but I think this song is a pile of shite"

He got some... interesting responses to that, but I observed at least 3 people say "I'm not really a Kylie fan but I'm loving this".

That shows to me it's reaching out!

It keeps the release very interesting and fans and media invested, can she get top 10?. Its perfect, and I feel still so much more to come

Cassettes

No doubt a vinyl

Probably another 1 or 2 CDs

Possible feature with Erika Jayne (could be made up) on 16th

17th live show in USA , maybe other live performances?

Probably a Club Remix from a well known DJ

Could there be an exclusive to a streaming site?

24 hours into the chart week and of the new entries, only J Hus is ahead of Kylie on Apple. Nathan Dawe etc looks like being a hit - but hopefully not above Kylie, and Sam Smith/Madonna looks like being a flop. The other songs on iTunes have not materialised on Apple Music.

Hopefully the decline of other songs around it as well as streaming being similar to last week means Kylie’s sales will send her top 10 this week!

I just got a random message from a friend’s husband, who I rarely speak to telling me that he is obsessed with Padam Padam.

I was delighted with Kylie’s chart position. Bearing in mind I was saying 16 for most of the week, then update to 14 at the end – I was really surprised with number 12. If it hadn’t been for the fact that the two songs above it were so close, I would’ve been delighted.

From her record company’s perspective, had it been top 10, it would not have been in such a good position to climb this week as well.

The two other Dave/CC tracks will overtake PP though, so that's 3 songs above it compared to this week.

UK Rap is in sharp decline. If Kylie’s actual sales are higher than last week, she could climb above Fifty Fifty, Lewis Capaldi, Harry Styles and Loreen.

I was likewise expecting #14

If only we could've put our heads together and generated 250 more sales ;)

Oh read a post somewhere stating there’s a 3 format rule for the UK single Charts….surely that rule is long gone considering physical sales are so small generally these days?

As will Dua Lipa and Hannah Laing, and that Drake "song". A climb this week is a bit of an unrealistic goal, but I appreciate the fact they're trying.

4,8 & 12 start to Saturday. I would expect the 59p version in 8th to move ahead of the extended Mix

The Cassettes are on a floating date at the moment so that's a good strategy.

We could also see another store exclusive for 59p instrumental or something haha.

The good thing is BMG are monitoring and can react if they really want too or if they happy with everything so far.

Remember for streaming purposes and monthly listeners etc its no good releasing everything in one week if wanting to build. Her numbers from Spotify will start dropping off from 18th June so they need ro release stuff to counteract those. Of course it could explode even more.

At the moment I am loving this whole era, keeps me as a fan invested and its rejuvenated Kylie

Woah! I never realised this rule existed, but it seems it does. And the rules make no mention of cassettes, which would imply that only CDs and vinyl would count! There’s always the possibility that they are counted, even though the rules don’t mention them - but my belief that Padam Padam could climb this week was based on the potential inclusion of the cassettes.
