So afterall its because of us that she is top 10 and thats great to feel we can contribute to her legacy and success, of course at this stage anything is possible, she can go higher or stall or fall slowly off, judging on the public reaction to the song, Padam might yet surprise us and it would be lovely for her to go top 5 with this bop and be in a league of her own being the only female artist with a top 5 in 5 consecutive decades...

Praying the show her performance of PP and not just CGYOOMH - I’m hopeful they will now though considering the amount of attention it’s has got.

 

If they do show it then PP could get a decent boost from it as it’ll be crossing over to people who maybe have yet to hear it.

 

I think they will show at least padam padam. Its a nice short performance and the only reason they booked her as a surprise slot at the show.

The level of pettiness from Radio 1 is odd… to say the least.

 

I literally couldn’t care if they played Kylie or not, they are FAR from the powerhouse they once were (which must be a challenge for them when songs take off without their support).

 

However they have posted on Twitter and tagged all of the artists… apart from Kylie, like we get it Radio 1 you don’t want to support or play Kylie songs but if they are going to post about the charts then at least acknowledge everyone?

I’ve ordered 3 times and they all took 2/3 days from dispatch - my friend ordered one in the week and it said ‘complete’ on their account but they just got a dispatch email for it tonight? Definitely seems as though they have played around with physicals this week and the reporting/dispatch of them? Will be interesting to see what the physical sales are for next week.

Edit: I've just seen (and confirmed by testing it) that Kylie for some reason can't be tagged in any photos on Twitter, so I guess that explains it!

I sort of hope so, then it feels like I helped to make a difference as I felt a bit deflated last week when she wasn’t Top 10, but I guess I just had to be patient.

What a mad few weeks - from hoping it would chart, to it going Top 30, then Top 20 then Top 10.

 

We’ve all done our bit now time to enjoy the Tension era and PP success.

I think Radio 1 today made it pretty clear they’re not going to support Padam Padam no matter how well it does :(

 

Also TECHNICALLY they broke their own “embargo” with that BBC article earlier which said the song had broke into the top 10, hours before the chart was announced

I haven’t Padamed all day today and it’s been very strange.

Only good thing is it appears R1’s A lose doesn’t necessarily translate to huge hit these days. Didn’t they A list both of Rita Ora’s new songs but did nothing on the chart? All I care about is that K makes it to the top Spotify and streaming lists.

So thrilled that Kylie made it to #9! What an achievement. Now let’s get it above the #8 peaking ‘Higher’ x

 

I hope we get to find out the accurate split in formats this week like we have done in previous weeks!

Oh yes, I’m too very interested in the format split! From what it looks like, 25.9k are split into something like

1.5k cassettes

400 CDs

≈4k downloads

≈20k streams

 

But I’d like to know for sure.
