You hit the nail on the head as always. Yes, we see the Glastonbury effect in the iTunes chart, but elsewhere the number of songs that are above Kylie, but less than three years old and have climbed above her because of Glastonbury are minimal. ‘Wish You The Best’ and ‘Until I Found You’ are the only ones which pose any risk, but even then the risk is quite minimal.

 

The issue is that Kylie was 9 in the Chart Update and songs 10-13 are above her or very close to her on one or several platforms.

 

Positive sign though: I can see to Amazon charts, simultaneously, and I can only assume that one is Unlimited and the other Prime. Kylie has just reached a new peak of 8 on what I believe is the ‘Prime’ chart.

Luckily from what we have seen from Stormzy, I dont see him going past Kylie again but there are a couple behind her that I am worried about. I do think it could be very tight this week but I think she can just hold onto top 10. Hopefully we can see some data today on where everyone is so far this week.

Yes, I think they’ll get this one out quickly - they’ve obviously dropped it now to try and keep her Top 10 this week and then will add to iTunes and streaming on Friday I think.

Hopefully they won't wait that long. I've got plans to play it at a party I'm going to at the weekend :lol:

A great tactic for one last hurrah to get this a new peak of hopefully #7 would be to release the remix on iTunes on Friday, and at the same time put a 7" vinyl with the remix as the B side up for -pre-order at the same time with a release date of next Thurs (same as the cassette).

Jax Jones is a pretty decent name for Kylie to get on a remix, hopefully the success of ‘Padam Padam’ has encouraged more higher profile names to remix for her.

Jax Jones is excellent. Not surprised as he obviously worked with Ina Wroldsen before on their big smash

 

Now it's exclusive to her store a la extended mix and then I guess will on itunes from Friday or next Friday.

Why do they only release to her store though to download? Obviously it’s easy for them to do but is it that once they add it to other download sites they also add to streaming too?

Yes they would have to release to streaming too and with Thursday a day for streaming not to count they won't. This way they get the sales from downloads on her website from fans and then we buy it again on itunes on Friday and stream for the new week, plus it's a taster for others and club DJs can purchase for there clubs at the weekend

Hopefully it grabs 1000 download sales weds&Thurs combined

 

I guess Jax won't promote until Friday
