12 is great and weirdly it looks either they reported CD sales before they despatched them or they held some sales back. The CD total hasn't really increased on the midweek updates.

We never get Kylie discounts :lol: The 7” vinyl are usually £14.50, the previous CD single for a 1 track was £5.

Don't forget to stream the extended Mix 10 times as well as the single!!

I'm not buying the cassette, a little bit annoyed they didn't release the download to secure the top 10 tbh, they obviously knew it was ridiculously close.

I don’t think you can randomly add an unplanned release to iTunes etc., midweek - it’s not something we see from any artist.

 

They could have pushed it a lot harder from her site though, they would’ve whipped the fanbase into a frenzy with the slightest official mention that it was close to the Top 10 and the 75p download could make it happen.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of that re iTunes. Should definitely have promoted more on the site though.

Calm down, the song obviously has life in it left. It's not a fanbase only track.

I think it’s understandable to be frustrated when it came so close and any little help could’ve pushed it over the line.

 

The cassettes have kinda softened the blow though, hopefully them being a tiny bit cheaper will encourage more sales too

Yes you (the top labels, BMG included) can, artists do it all the time.

BMG obviously feel they should/could do more - they are finally encouraging streams from Kylie’s social media and have posted links to Apple, Spotify and Amazon so far plus promoted the cassette release.

Yeah I am confident that if they hadn't started planning for big pushes before the release, theys started doing so once a hit looked possible. Cassettes being one of them, especially if they're ready for dispatch next week. A shame for them that vinyl production is so far behind schedule, they probably wouldn't be able to get singles out until August at the absolute earliest (that is if they hadn't sent them off for production before the song came out digitally).

Up 6 to 7th in the Itunes Worldwide Chart after 23 days.

A vinyl would be huge and it’s all people are asking for but like you say if it wasn’t pre-planned then it’ll be at the back of the production pile now.

Kylie & Team getting the socials out for the streaming playlists this evening. Good to see and makes it easier for streamaphobes to just play them.

I bet we get remixes soon and then we'll get another CD with all those remixes on them. Then the 7" vinyl will come probably on the same week Tension is released.
