I see your point, but it's kind of more or less the same "result", in the sense it's not beating the competition. To clarify - I'm super happy and shocked we're talking about a Kylie top 10 song 35 years into her career, I didn't ever imagine such a scenario in my wildest dreams.

 

But again, it's just that the song caught fire instantly that I'd expected it to at least hit top 5 with the fuel it had supposedly already accumulated in the tank....but seems to be yo-yo'ing in the 8-12 range.

^^ I mean it’s positive and good coverage but once again medias obsession with labeling this a LGBTQ+ hit - yes it has appealed to Kylie’s core audience and the gay community but that’s not the only reason it’s a hit, it has also crossed over from the ‘gays’ into the mainstream.

Yep, but you can't blame the media that every tweet and chat is about giving 'the gays what they want' i guess also it is because a lot of the media writing the stories are from an LGBTQ+ background and so they write these types of articles.

 

Sometimes I feel like she loses some sales because of the way she is marketed as only being liked by gay people. Plenty or her music crosses over

 

I am guessing she won't tweet properly until Friday as they still want late sales from website rather than people waiting for itunes.

 

Waiting for it to break the top 100 on Australia itunes but irs still night over there and many won't even know its been released lol

Getting an error message wehen trying to play on Spotify

 

Downloaded x3 (the two tracks then as a bundle) on both iTunes and Amazon.

 

Added to my playlist on Spotify and Amazon.

 

Please find on Amazon, but it won’t stream on Spotify for some reason.

 

Still can’t play it on Spotify (It’s streaming fine on Apple Music).

 

Plus side is it features as a new release on Jax Jones page too so should get some decent streams.

Essentially. Sending a song to radio just lets the stations know it's available/being promoted as a single which they can play (if they choose to). It was already being played by some stations and was getting ~80-100 spins a day. With all her US promo and with the song doing well in the UK, it makes sense they ofifcially send it to Pop radio in the US.

How is 0800 Heaven number 1 on itunes? Has it had promo somewhere? Was it on at glasto? Seems to have jumped back up the i tunes chart out of nowhere.

The Jax Jones Remix does now work on Spotify. I don’t know if it was just a timing coincidence, but I went from my phone to my computer last night, and it worked on my computer just not on my phone. However, I didn’t then try again on my phone until this morning. It works now on both.
