If BMG prepared physical single formats for release week and did the actual release on a friday, she maybe would have had a chance, I guess OCC are just getting way ahead of themselves with this article...

 

The OCC social media team are Kylie stans so always hype her releases (which is not a bad thing!)

I think this has been an unexpected success in comparison to Say Something and Dancing. I think hindsight is wonderful but the midweek releases have been successful in the last two eras.

I think it’s more that the singles have been successful in spite of the midweek releases rather than because of. We were already bemoaning the Thursday release before anybody knew how it would be received

There is a long way to go with Padam Padam everyone.

 

It's not about getting one week in chart then move on......

 

However I would love a top 75 chart position on Friday.

 

I don't think it will drop off as much as some Kylie releases. Youtube video, streaming and iTunes position all pretty steady and adding sales, some from passive fans.

I just hope they have a vinyl and remixes in the works. I would love if this blew up into an actual hit outside of the fans (let’s be honest, the gays!) but obviously for an artist like Kylie that’s almost impossible

And maybe a Club Mix from Tiesto?

 

It just needs a couple of BIG playlists to free it.

This is just an irresistible ear-worm of a song. It's addictive.

 

Her most interesting single for me since... probably 'Slow' tbh. I still prefer the poppier sound of 'Stop Me From Falling', personally. But on a "technical" level, it's her best since 'All The Lovers' I think.

In an ideal world they’d release 5k vinyl, 5k CDs (or more) and 1k cassettes in the same week, a few remixes, 59p download and she’d be on her way to a top 20 hit (at least)

So what UK promo will she do.

 

I would think she would spend her birthday in UK now unless she is gong on a holiday but I doubt that.

 

Birthday coincides with BGT semi finals starting on 29th May for the whole week. Stars to be announced

 

I would presume some Radio promo maybe the BBC2 Piano Room?

Imagine a BGT slot! It’s still one of the big draws even if it’s somewhat past it’s peak!

It would be a great slot to get even though I don't watch it but I'd tune in if kylie was on.

Kylie sang Padam Padam and mashed into CGYOOMH with Nutsa (a contestant on American Idol)

 

She looked great and Padam Padam sounds great. Could have done with the full song but hey....

 

At least they mentioned new single Padam Padam etc.

 

I think a live performance of the full song would go down very well on Something BGT

 

Then during ad break Katy and Kylie posed for the cameras in a little 20 second clip which will get nice coverage

It's amazing she could land something like American Idol, especially the finale. They're eclipsing The Voice this season, so this was a major get for her.

I wish there was more Padam (Padam), but the performance was a serve anyway. She really enjoyed performing it, the voice was very warm and playful.

A purple disco remix of padam would be stellar , great shout

 

A shame that the official American Idol account has mispelled her name a "Kyle" in the title :cry: Hopefully that'll be fixed.

 

A great performance! Loved her big smile before she started to sing.
