Added to Radio 2 A-list! This with Capital playlisting should easily send her to the top-10 on AirPlay next week.

Absolutely thrilled with a #26 debut! Already surpassed my expectations and it's been such a thrilling week for Kylie fans, excited to see where it can go from here.

Fifty-five years old on Sunday (May 28), Kylie Minogue makes her first Top 40 appearance for more than five years, and registers her highest chart position since 2014, debuting at No.26 (14,649 sales) with Padam Padam, a track from her upcoming 16th studio album, Tension. Minogue’s 59th hit in total, and 52nd Top 40 single – both Antipodean records – it secured 4,601 digital download sales, and debuts at No.1 in that format’s chart.

That also means 10,048 streams! Up 2,561 in a day. I know it has more than one day, but regardless, 10k weekly streams is amazing for her!

 

It hasn’t entered the top-100 streaming chart last week, but I looked at the lower part of the streaming chart, and there is seriously some deadwood over there, heaven bless ACR, even if it is kinda broken now!

So some streams must still be missing and estimated but it’s probably just Spotify figures that are a day behind.

I forgot that they have this division. In the overall Streaming Chart Padam actually entered at 81!

Kylie getting those numbers on streaming is great, we thought it would never happen, also selling 4601 difital sales is huge these days, if we include the Thursday sales of last week padam padam easily has digital sales of 5500 already.

So Capaldi at 28 sold 13,061 copies. Extended mix gave Kylie around 1.6k sales, if we suppose that all of the daily sales increase is due to the extended mix release. So without the extended remix Kylie would have still been in the top-30, but at 27-28 instead.

 

Not a big difference, but at least it secured a top-30 debut.

Also seriously impressed Kylie has managed to cling onto #2 on iTunes (plus the other version still Top 100) with the Tina Turner and Taylor Swift songs - I thought they would knock her out of the Top 5.
