I agree with the CD situation - when there was a mix up with dates on the website I thought week 4 would have been a good time to release them - if it could have got to #15-16 on it’s own and then the CDs along with a remix could have been what it needed to get it over the line.

 

This week feels like a tall order to go 23-10 as CD sales will collapse so it will need some big boosts on streaming.

Top 10 is only in reach at the moment because they decided on unleashing the CDs now though. It could have been more in reach next week, that’s if the streaming continues to build up.

 

It’s always a case of “hindsight is a wonderful thing” and we don’t know what its fate is yet. But my gut feeling is that they’ve slightly jumped the gun with the CDs.

 

Not if they just put this CD taster out to see demand.

 

Why can they not add another CD with a B side or a remix on and chuck in a cassette single or vinyl? Anything is possible still.

 

Also they could release 10 remixes one week at 59p each and grab 1k of sales each and get 10,000 downloads easily.

 

As long as they have decent streaming over all the platforms then they can do anything they want with downloads and physicals.

 

The song hasn't even hit Europe yet so I can see bigger things and bigger streams now
