This is such a disappointment for me.

I wanted to love it, but it’s got nothing on anything from PANG 💔

She’s def turned more pop but I absolutely love ‘Bunny Is A Rider’!

New single by BJSC veto icon Caroline Polachek out now. Produced by Danny L Harle. It's getting a vinyl release with a rework of Polachek’s recent Oneohtrix Point Never collaboration “Long Road Home” as the B-side

 

 

These are both insanely good.

The production is incredible, both remind me of different Björk eras.

I didn’t ever get into Bunny is a Rider as much as everyone else seemed to, but I’m so on board with this one immediately :heart:

'Long Road Home' will take a minute as I love the original but 'Billions' is fantastic — what kind of all-engulfing Enya x Imogen Heap moment

 

You can tell it will only grow

Love both of these :wub: Bunny Is A Rider was a bop but it's great to have something a bit more ethereal.

There are some moments on this with slightly questionable vocals (have found that to be the case on a lot of her songs which is stopping me from getting as into her music as I want to) but aside from that this is fantastic, absolutely loving the production and the main hook is serving some Massive Attack 'Teardrop' vibes :heart:

I didn't listen to her last album but I've been a fan of all the singles from this one so far so looking forward to it! Interested to see if the rest will be as diverse as the singles have been so far ~

I did enjoy Billions, but enjoying Sunset much more, the flamenco style and her vocals fit beautifully :wub: (don't know if I've missed any in between, just going by what I've heard on 6Music :kink:)

 

 

 

 

Looks like the digital release is Valentine’s Day, so thankfully not as long to wait as it first looked like it would be!

 

I’ve loved everything so far but Welcome to My Island is already the absolute one.

The artwork is incredible too, glad we’ve finally confirmation of another album on the way, Pang feels like a lifetime ago now.

It's been over 1143 days since Caroline Polachek's breakout solo album Pang was released. A word of mouth classic, cemented by star-making live turns.. to say we've been eager for it's sequel is something of an understatement. Desire, I Want to Turn Into You contains not only the hits you've come to love and sing right back (Bunny is a Rider, Billions) but also incendiary new single Welcome to My Island.

 

The world has caught up with the hyper-pop maximalism since Pang, and is forever changed. 2023 already belongs to Caroline Polachek.

 

1143 days feels pretty accurate
