October 17, 20223 yr I second that Blink 182 charting would be nice to see. Also, shows how some artists can add physicals outside of week one to good effect to help with the climb!
October 17, 20223 yr The 1975 at #1 in albums with RHCP at #2 close behind per the OCC FB page (but last week they also claimed it was close between #1 &2 when Paul Heaton was 10K ahead lol)

October 17, 20223 yr Good start for Betty Boo! Amusingly, Betty Who also has an album out this week lol. Tove Lo nowhere to be seen? :( (EDIT: just seen that it's download only which doesn't help). Surprised also that Jake Bugg's re-release isn't showing up in the top 40 at this stage. Edited October 17, 20223 yr by Mangø
October 17, 20223 yr Tove Lo hasn't had a top 40 album since scraping in with her 2nd album in 2016, I wouldn't really expect much from her even if it wasn't digital only! Imagine that should be a decently high selling top 2?
October 17, 20223 yr also surprised Jake Bugg's debut is not top 40, it's a very nice re-issue with lots of extras and out on Cd and vinyl, so it's not like Tove Lo, who obviously never gonna chart without physicals
October 17, 20223 yr Doing a bit of research, seems like Tove's physicals are released on the 21st (i.e the upcoming Friday). Is that correct?
October 17, 20223 yr I was expecting Oliver Tree to be top 10 in today’s update Edited October 17, 20223 yr by Hadji

October 17, 20223 yr The 1975 at #1 in albums with RHCP at #2 close behind per the OCC FB page (but last week they also claimed it was close between #1 &2 when Paul Heaton was 10K ahead lol) Turns out you were right to be skeptical as they're 18K ahead
October 17, 20223 yr The OCC always make it out to be a battle, they're not creating any hype by saying "lol it's already a done deal guys calm down" :P
October 17, 20223 yr Doing a bit of research, seems like Tove's physicals are released on the 21st (i.e the upcoming Friday). Is that correct? Isnt it out in like March 2023? EDIT Seems like CD out next week, vinyls 3 March 2023 Edited October 17, 20223 yr by Bjork
October 17, 20223 yr The 1975 off to a better start than their last album in 2020 (there wasn't a Monday update due to the Bank Holiday, but using the Tuesday mids it can be worked out that was on 25.8k on the Monday). Red Hot Chili Peppers were on 22.2k on the Monday update with their album earlier in the year. Not sure whether it's releasing albums in quick succession or the fact the material of the second album is taken from the same sessions of the first (so, presumably, weaker material) but it's proving not to be a good tactic in terms of sales (see also Lana Del Rey, Foals, Steps etc.)
October 17, 20223 yr Ooh southstar as high as #26 *.* was expecting it somewhere in the 30s. Hope it can push for top 20 by the end of the week now with the sped up version blowing up as well. Queen are a bit higher than I expected too, still imagine they are pretty heavily depending on the downloads from day 1 so not sure if they'll be secure in the top 100 but that would be cool if they can hang on. Lil Baby looking like he's coming for a fairly comfortable #3 in the albums, and perhaps his first top 40 single(s) as lead artist since 'Drip Too Hard' in 2018.

Monday updates aren't compiled at all on bank holidays so that would've been the Sunday figure! (still doing better considering it was on 28.2 on the Tuesday anyway)
October 17, 20223 yr Shakin Stevens has a Christmas album at #45 in the Album Update chart!! Seriously?? In October??
