Shakin Stevens has a Christmas album at #45 in the Album Update chart!! Seriously?? In October??

I think it's a vinyl reissue. It keeps popping up on my Amazon, for some unknown reason.

Really surprised to see Betty Boo as high as 13, it will probably end up similar to Darren Hayes last week but a top 100 is good for her.
Jake Bugg isn't even in the Top 100 :(

That's gotta be a mistake surely? His debut album did well and was critically acclaimed, I thought a re-issue of it would have picked up a good few sales!

Pleased for Betty Boo…I’m still not over Grrr! flopping 30 years ago…it’s a brilliant album.

I think there were too many vinyl reissues this week, besides Jake Bugg

there's Jamiroquai-Emergency on Planet Earth, Stereophonics - Word gets around

Paul Weller - Modern Classics, Duran Duran - Medazzaland, Supergrass - I Should Coco

think vinyl fans cannot cope :o

The Shaky album is available on CD as well! If he hangs on in the Top 100 he'll do better than when it was originally released in 1991 as it failed to chart thenn.

The release has been a disaster though. The vinyl was advertised as "red and white marble effect" - it came out at the pressing plant as red with very light white patches, many copies are pure red. The CD is supposed to have the original 12 tracks plus 3 bonus songs. Although that's what is listed on the sleeve the 3 bonus songs aren't actually on the CD.

Shakin Stevens has a Christmas album at #45 in the Album Update chart!! Seriously?? In October??

Most Xmas albums get a October release see the most famous of our era - Christmas by Michael Buble!

Looking good for southstar to climb into the top 20 by Friday. Kinda glad a sped up version is also able to boost it some more too.

Oh wow so we're actually gonna get another Sunset Strippers vs Cabin Crew-esque situation! I doubt R1 will play both versions on the chart somehow.

A couple more sub 2-minute new entries there too, I liked Poland a lot more than I was expecting to.

NO OTHER SALES INFO

Good to see Dean Lewis set to enter, it’s so good.

(And I had no idea he was almost 35 until now! I thought he was much younger)

I listened to the Dean Lewis song last week and it was very nice so a welcome addition. Ugh at southstar stalling while the other version is top 10 now :')
They did on Monday!

They did since the album's release date was announced really :kink: (I guess RHCP theoretically could have been a bigger contender but I'm not surprised that it isn't that close, as mentioned earlier in the thread whenever artists release 2 albums so close together the second one tends to usually do quite a bit worse)

Hope something can knock Anne-Marie out of the top 5 by the end of the week pls.

yay for Dean Lewis, hope he holds on

RHCP struggling a bit but didn't think it was a very good idea to go for another new album so quick, an again a very bloated not very cohesive album with like 18-20 tracks
