There is no way Trouble can be considered an enduring classic

Maybe there would be a couple of others that might count but it's probably safe to say that Another Love/Do I Wanna Know week would be the biggest example of it.

Doesn't make sense to me... if you count the Spotify streams, it's 10K on Friday... so if you take into account the other outlets (Apple, Amazon)

you usally just multiply x 2, so her Friday total should be 20K alone...

'You just multiply x 2' is just you pulling a number completely out of thin air to fit the conclusion you already wanted to make again. Spotify has historically been well over 50% of the market share for album bombs, see this post I made before crunching the numbers for a few previous examples.

Adding up the Spotify streams of songs 3-16 from the Taylor album on Friday and Saturday gives a total of 14,511,610 which translates to 16,585 streaming sales. That gives an implied market share for the first two days of 81.7% which is admittedly higher than the examples I calculated in the post above but not unbelievably so (especially as I don't think she's been doing particularly well at all on Amazon? and Sam is back up to #2 on Apple now while still only #7 on Spotify which also supports that Spotify is a disproportionately big market for her)

hard to know for sure, but figures don't add up imho
I literally just showed you the figures and how they add up but ok x

I'm not really sure what you're suggesting by saying they don't add up?

I never understood this view, I do enjoy the singles from it but for me it's still her worst album (well, maybe with the exception of 'Body Language')

Impossible princess is one of her best albums where she put her creative stamp on. It’s a popular album with the fans hence the top 5 just on Vinyl release which fans like me have been waiting a long time for.

Think the closest example I've found for the #10/#11 peak 'enduring classics' might be The Anthem by Good Charlotte and Don't Look Back Into The Sun by The Libertines, depending on one's definition of classic (they still get relatively healthy streams) but still nowhere near the same level.
I really didn’t see a huge chart selling album from both these two this week but great to see the albums market can still come alive in Q4!

Kylie Still #5 on tuesday midweeks

6123 sold, A-Ha at 6 on 4481, Carly 3362

Kylie :cheeseblock:

We love to see a 25 year old album being re-issued on vinyl slaying :cheer:

Omg Kylie better pull through, Impossible Princess is her best album and I'm so glad she's pulling numbers this fantastic this long after release.
I’ve just noticed that this year is the first time since 1992 where we haven’t had an artist having multiple number one singles in the exact same year. I would say 2008 was the last time for this but Alexandra Burke was also on the X Factor finalists version of "Hero" which went to number one that year

There are still two months left of this year, but would be an interesting stat if it does stay that way!

I reckon it could stay that way as I can’t see Taylor knocking herself off the top

I'm sure Ed will have something up his sleeve for Christmas - that would give him the rare feat of having both the first and last number one of the same calendar year!
