We all knew this about Johnson at the time. The media more than anyone. The question is why none of this was reported at the time.

ย

Two reasons I suspect, the team behind number 10 were really good at controlling the narrative and itโ€™s pretty clear that the like of Kussenberg and Peston didnโ€™t want to scrutinise their contacts too much. Probably a fair bit of politics at play. Think itโ€™s really easy to point the finger at the media, but itโ€™s also abundantly clear we had a government elected on a single key issue (Brexit) and we werenโ€™t set up to govern properly.

ย

The fact that none of the stuff coming out is actually that shocking should speak volumes

Both of those reasons barely answer the question though. Were no.10 good at controlling the narrative? Or were they just never properly probed about anything because the media didnโ€™t want to? Is Kuensberg and Peston not wanting to lose contacts a good enough reason to essentially help cover these things up? Theyโ€™re complicit whichever way you look at it.
100% complicit. They are Tories, and they made the medis obedient to thr Tories, like a one party state.
There will still be people saying that he's a wonderful man who has never lied ever.

Well the evidence about his conduct and character suggest otherwise.

That's the point I'm making. It's blatantly clear what he's like but people will still think he's been hard done by.

Surely even a new low for this Home Secretary?

Charities generally don't give out tents to homeless people. Therefore, not for the first time, this government is aiming for good headlines in the tabloid press by proposing to ban something that isn't happening. I have said in the past that Braverman is pure poison. I think I might have been too kind.

I don't think I've ever despised a politician as much as I despise Suella Braverman.

Shocking and deeply out of touch. Since the Tories have been in power from 2010, homelessness has risen over 70% according to a report on ITN news tonight.

The ones in Belfast give out sleeping bags not tents.

How does one even decide who is 'genuinely homeless'? The average passer-by isn't even thinking of that, probably.

ย

They won't stop at their obsession with a culture war.

As a housing officer I assess housing and homeless ness someone is legally homeless if the past four tests eligibility (British passport and connection with the town/country et have a registered GP school or benefits in area), if they have no resident passport they need a biometric card and if an EU National now need to confirm settled or pre settled status, the later need to confirm they are a โ€˜workerโ€™. They need to be homeless and not intentionally homeless and need to be a priority need which is a โ€˜vulnerable personโ€™ eg a pregnant woman, have dependent children, be in fear of violence from your last address, be homeless due to a fire/flood or other emergency or be vulnerable due to a physical or mental health diagnosis or finally be a young person under 25 with Social services support recently.

ย

If you pass those four tests you are awarded homeless points on the social waiting list and the council has a duty of care to provide you a roof over your head in the event you have nowhere to reside. Where that temporary accommodation is depends on whatโ€™s available and could be anywhere really.

Braverman losing the plot again comparing the March for a ceasefire planned for Saturday a hate March and comparing it to marches in NI ๐Ÿ˜ณ thereby insulting the Met Police and alll political persuasions in the NI. As Colum Eastwood says sheโ€™s a โ€œPound Shop Enoch Powellโ€
It's like Braverman is trying to see just how far she can push it before getting sacked, which she can then use to say that she's been forced out by leftie Tories or something.
I donโ€™t know how to add it hear but basically saying the displays of violence were a disgrace like she had nothing to do with it!
More than that, she briefly mentioned the violence but then had a full on rant about how the ceasefire protests were โ€˜pollutingโ€™ London.
