Yeah, Brenda has a lot more programmed streams. In Apple Music Mariah is #7 and Brenda is 47 or at youtube #4 Mariah and #92 Brenda. Spotify is important but not crucial.

“One More Sleep” is already TOP10 on UK Apple Music (7 days before it first entered the TOP10 last year). A shame the Spotify playlists are so US based, this song could be way bigger that it is with more Spotify support :/

No Cliff Richard in the Top 200? Or top 500? Top 1000 maybe? ;)

Shame to hear of the lack of Stormzy in it’s 2nd day of release.

Wow, wasn’t expecting Christmas songs to blow up that suddenly - at least give us until 1 December please!

This weekend I think a lot of people have put their trees up!

This performance for Stormzy is really pretty underwhelming even in context but to be fair I'm not surprised that his numbers have fallen off a bit - respect to him making the kind of music he wants to make but a curious decision for him to make a comeback with a full rap track 'Mel Made Me Do It' (which was pretty well received) and then proceed to make an album that seems to be almost entirely singing stuff which really no one wants from him (at least not for a full album, of course he's had a couple of hit singles appealing to the casuals with that style but they've never been his most popular stuff with his actual fanbase). I'll still give a listen to the album but my hype for it fell off a cliff pretty quickly when it became clear the direction he was going in with it. 'Hide & Seek' is nice though.

I think he should still be able to get the #1 album but no chance this album has anything close to the longevity of his last 2.

This has been the case for the last couple of years! (Still waiting for Brenda to have a turn ahead of Mariah on the Hot 100 but Mariah seems to have an unshakeable airplay advantage unfortunately)

Hope Raye climbs back up even though with the influx of Xmas songs it’ll be difficult

In the US, Brenda Lee has been gaining on Mariah gradually each year. And also WITHIN each year she gains on Mariah as well as it gets closer to Christmas like how WHAM do in the UK. So, I think it's inevitable she will get #1 one day.

I'd say she will tomorrow (for today's streams). Today's update (ie for yesterdays streams) will be even more X-Mas heavy

Although must be said as breakthrough's go, she's picked the wrong time of the year, although she'll probably peak in January

Edited by ElectroBoy

I feel like she's taking off at the right time tbh. Get high up so that when Xmas is done, she's in a strong position to bounce right back. She'll likely peak in January.

The good thing is she's gotten very high with limited Spotify support, HH moved her up on Friday up to ca. #25 but previously she was at the very end of the playlist at like track #67 or something

so when the Spotify support gets better (in Jan I guess) she can definitely peak, while Meghan has already crazy Spotify support, so Meghan's support can get much better

The Spotify playlists have started to skew the Christmas charts so much.

The top six highest Christmas songs on the dominant 'Christmas Hits' playlist on Spotify exactly match the six highest Christmas songs on today's chart, albeit with Brenda a couple of places higher. I really don't believe that Holly Jolly Christmas is even one of the top 20 most popular Christmas songs in the UK if it was left to active searches.

My campaign for them to push Wizzard higher on that playlist goes on...

Really impressive for Raye to move back up to #25 considering nearly all Christmas songs are climbing!

#200 on Spotify today
