OH MY FREAKING GOSH RAYE!!! She really deserves this breakthrough!!! Really shows when it is your time to shine no one can stop you.

I'd be all for RAYE getting to #1 with this. It's such a slick track!

 

Also good to see 'Strong' back in, in the Apple chart. If it could do something then we'd be on for some great new hits but won't hold my breath haha.

Well the song does have a genuinely (mostly) unknown artist on it as well :whistle:

 

I know we're all excited about RAYE getting an independent hit (deservedly so!) but I remain sitting over here on my own just being delighted that 070 Shake is having a big hit and even a potential future #1 even if by a fluke of the TikTok algorithm which is unlikely to actually translate into any more attention for her other work (and admittedly her not even being that prominently featured on this song lol but a credit is a credit). Her 'Guilty Conscience' was my favourite song of 2020 and both of her albums are great, she was signed to Kanye's label and had a couple of uncredited features on his album 'ye' but that unfortunately didn't really translate to her making much of a splash in the mainstream.
