November 18, 20223 yr With Psycho, Made You Look, Dreck and Miss You all polluting the upper echelons I think it could be the worst top 10 in quite some time. That Rihanna song is an absolute snoozeathon too.
November 18, 20223 yr Author Joseph does not like new 3 lions than More like a mix of having little time the last couple of days + a lot happening in my personal life than anything else, but I don't really like the old 3 Lions so my hopes for this new version are very low...!
November 18, 20223 yr Nice to hear Mark Goodier back. Shame Simon Bates, Bruno Brookes and Reggie Yates didn’t come back for this
November 18, 20223 yr Hope there's a new number 1 next week. 4 weeks is already enough for Anti-Hero. Thank you. One of the best pop songs released this year deserves a lot longer, I think. :P
November 18, 20223 yr Wonderful seeing Taylor make 4 weeks. I'd be happy with that if she did drop off but of course she can stay another week or two and I'd be ok with it too.
November 18, 20223 yr JK & Joke + Wes got snubbed :o Would have love to hear Bruno Brooks on air again, my favourite hosts along with Mark Goodier
November 18, 20223 yr Author Are they ever going to add Anne-Marie and Sean Paul to Rockabye? A question for Clean Bandit's label...!
November 18, 20223 yr JK & Joke + Wes got snubbed :o Weren't they all sacked whilst others resigned of their own accord?
November 18, 20223 yr Anti-hero is a career defining song, its just stunning. By far the song of the year, feels fresh every time you listen to it. Deserves all the success possible.
November 18, 20223 yr JK & Joke + Wes got snubbed :o Would have love to hear Bruno Brooks on air again, my favourite hosts along with Mark Goodier Yeh Bruno has the best radio voice ever lol!
November 18, 20223 yr Great show today, I loved the extra effort they put in for the special occasion! Great job getting so many former chart hosts, I was most glad they got Jameela to record something, and it was wild to hear Tony Blackburn and Mark Goodier on a current chart
November 19, 20223 yr What will the situation be with the new 3 Lions. The original has been combined with the “98 version in recent years, so surely the new one should also be combined with the original two? Would that grant it a reset from ACR?
November 22, 20223 yr Listened to the chart for the first time in a while (on catchup on Saturday) as it was my birthday chart, love that they marked the occasion by bringing back all the old chart show presenters :cheeseblock: (definitely was for that reason and not the anniversary of the charts x). I managed to avoid most of the chart spoilers so it was a nice surprise to hear the show kicking off with 'golden hour' as I wasn't expecting that to be entering, have really been loving that song the past few weeks so fantastic to see it locking in a top 40 peak now  Not sure if it's likely to get much further as obviously it'll be crowded out by Christmas songs soon and who knows if it'll be able to resurface in January but I'm happy it at least didn't stall in the mid 40s as it looked like it might. 'Mockingbird' is not one of my absolute favourites from Eminem but it was still nice to hear again (and still better than most of his more recent material!), another part of the ongoing legacy of Kate Bush of course  and was also pleased to hear Joji getting another play despite the song being quite old now and falling again. Mimi Webb having quite impressive longevity, I actually think this is a fairly decent song from her which is a first. K-Trap not only third time lucky with staying top 40 for a second week but actually climbing a place! Also cool to see Tom Odell hitting a new post-TikTok high and Rema finally making the top 10 (as with JVKE in the top 40 this may have been close to its last chance with the incoming Christmas takeover). 'messy in heaven' has also been growing on me a little, this was my first time hearing the infamous radio edit of it, changing 'Jesus' to 'my mate' slightly misses the entire point of the song though  Boooo at 'PSYCHO' suddenly having a big rise just as it had finally left the top 10 though, please let the Christmas rush kill it off for good <_< As per usual when I occasionally tune in these days there were quite a few songs I was hearing for the first time: '10:35' - sounded basically exactly as I expected, decent enough 'Alone' - really liked the sound of this one, Burna Boy is unfortunately quite hit or miss for me but 2 for 2 on quality with his solo top 40 hits now 'Firebabe' - somewhat pleasant, I really hope the album has some more bangers on it though, I do like 'Hide & Seek' but if the whole album is like these two it's gonna be a bit of a bore 'Lionheart (Fearless)' - I still don't love it but it's Joel's 2nd best to date (after 'Head & Heart' obvz) by default just for that Faithless esque instrumental 'Major Distribution' - wasn't sure how to feel about the piano intro but it slapped after the beat switch, love the Bad Bunny shoutout in the lyrics 'Shirt' - well I heard the snippet in the 'Good Days' video 84 years ago but finally hearing in full, it's pretty good, nowhere near 'Good Days' but I think it's better than 'I Hate U' 'Out Of Nowhere' - a bit naff but nowhere near as bad as 'Energy' at least, it's cool to hear 'Wile Out' in some form on the chart show again I guess though boo at this outpeaking the original 'Lavender Haze' - I was only half listening while this was on but this didn't really sound particularly interesting tbh, hope it'll make a better impression when I eventually hear the album 'Lift Me Up' - zzz 'Rich Flex' - issa banger 'Made You Look' - actually enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, tbh Meghan's discography overall isn't as bad as I tend to think it is, she has a good number of bops, just the occasional absolute stinker mixed in. This one did very much feel like a retread of 'All About That Bass' in many ways but I still have a soft spot for that song so eh Taylor Swift and Louis Tomlinson as my birthday #1s for the year then. Who'da thunk.
