Midge Ure's version is good, but Scott Walker's vocals are far better and the orchestration is superb.

Sadly it's looking like I'll miss this one out! It's a bit sad for me to have broken my streak, but I haven't had enough time recently and it's partly a good things anyway hat I don't have to worry about keeping a perfect run of entries from now on.

We're at 58 confirmed nations now (got Ingermanlandia and Lotunia since my previous post) although still awaiting one of the vetoes to be reconfirmed and not sure if they will - the poster in question was online today so should have seen my PM about the veto but has not replied to it :thinking:

 

Quickly doing veto research for the last batch of entries now anyway and we'll see if we can get this going this evening ~ (any last minute late entries would still be accepted, I see Jacob viewing the thread, we demand an Aelandor return :teresa:)

We're at 59 entries now (the last reconfirmation did come through in the end) so only the one auto-qualifier unless we get another late entrant overnight or someone drops out for some reason.

I wholly endorse last minute entrants, be nice to bring it to a round 60!

I didn't have anything at all, was planning to search but the deadline went, then I found something I really liked last night at half midnight. :lol:

 

Quite different for me, although it has the flavour of a couple of my earlier entries.

Well while we wait for imaduck to resurface, now is as good a time as any to remind people who don't remember the idiosyncracies of the previous Oslol contests that voting this month is going to be done via a Google form rather than PM. Not a permanent change, it's just imaduck's style.

Scott Walker had an amazing voice, and mixed with full orchestra just unbeatable. The 2 number ones are awesome, as is Jacky. A back catalogue worth investigating, so many gems.
