Wow, in a million years I wouldn't have predicted that top two.

Megan has been most impressive by a country mile throughout, quite an oversight not to put her in the final two. I haven't been impressed with Marnie whatsoever at any point in the series.

I felt so bad for her the comments saying "we always need good flight attendants" and "did you go to school?!" weren't helpful. They were nasty and rude, I didn't find it "sassy" or entertaining either.

This was so harsh, I hope they get some hate for this, who do they think they are?

Rochelle and Marnie low key getting outed at Tories 🤢 to not pay your staff and to pay such minimal wages is gross.

Yeah, it's like when I was trying to break into journalism and people thought they were doing me a massive favour by letting me write a press release for them 'for the experience'.

Uh, no. If I create something, and it takes me time, effort and research to do so, I deserve to be recompensed. Marnie needs a huge overhaul of her business model for that to work.

Rochelle was the one who got the least harsh treatment from the interviewers during the episode so it figures that she's made the final 2. This is the weakest series I've seen for this late stage of the process. None of Rochelle or Marnie deserve to win but it's probably going to be Rochelle based on already having some business experience. In previous years though none of them would even make it half-way.

Entertaining episode, some of the comments were harsh though.

Happy Rochelle got to the final two. I have disliked Marnie throughout but I get why she was chosen compared to the other three.

This season definitely had the weakest contestants.

I hope Rochelle wins!

I don’t think the comment about school to Victoria was that bad, they weren’t insinuating that she didn’t go to school but she had said she was ‘self educated’ when she wasn’t. 33 spelling errors in the first three pages of her plan was also not a good look and was always going to be picked up on.

I will say though, the interviews are my least favourite part of the show by far. I just don’t find it entertaining to watch people who have worked hard for a series be ripped apart. For example ripping Dani apart over the Mermaid thing was ridiculous and didn’t really give her the opportunity to defend herself.

I do think Karens ‘it’s Barroness to you’ to be unnecessary but she is always needlessly rude anyway

Also, haven't they called her Karren throughout the series anyway? Often when someone leaves they say 'thanks Lord Sugar, Karren, Tim' etc and are never corrected?

Why should they suddenly switch to calling her Baroness Brady this week? Other than for someone to inevitably slip up to make an example out of them on TV.

I never massively enjoy the final, as it seems the one and only 'task' where they are presented as competent at business, even if some of the ideas, branding and marketing have been as off as in the other weeks of the show. The editing on this programme to show people in a particularly good or bad light plus all the spitting venom from the interviewers last week is mad, I'm surprised it's still allowed in this day and age of, thankfully, more mental health awareness.

But yeah, Marnie I haven't enjoyed throughout, but none of them were particularly great anyway. I did laugh at Victoria's retort at the cruel comment she received about ditching her career last week.

I watched them put their plans into place and the building of their brands and businesses etc... but as soon as they started talking about "pitches" I fast forwarded to the end just to see who won.

I was definitely only watching this out of habit this series. It was an absolutely horrendous series. I wish they'd cast people who were actually good and took this whole thing seriously and we had record breaking figures in tasks again etc.. it's just ridiculous.

These comments are reassuring me that I was right to give this a miss this year. It's occasionally funny in a guilty pleasure kind of way and I'm under no impression it's meant to be a serious business show, but it would be nice if it didn't just go through the same motions every year, actually allow candidates to shine and not just make them look like idiots all the time (and frankly, they are never given enough time to do these tasks so it's no wonder half of them look awful), having them all be made up to be incompetent arseholes until the very last week just really undercuts that it's meant to be a serious investment.
The production company really have to bring the next series back to the basics and have contestants that want to grow a business rather than find a job in the media.
It wasn’t a great series but at least there were some hotties!

This. Think I'm the only one out of my friend group that fancied Mark, the pest controller lol.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was all about sexy Joe for me!!

Don’t think I am going to watch it anymore it’s got ridiculous filled with people who don’t have a clue and the putting them in impossible situations so they do even worse. I don’t think it holds up very well anymore with the rise of knowledge around the bad impacts of poor mental health and feels very 90s bullying press. Also really dislike sugar and Brady they are just examples of nasty privileged Tory asses!
