December 18, 20223 yr I’m really not that shocked at the sales collapse though, it really is such a depressing song compared to the last few and also, as I’ve said before, I feel like last year was the natural end to the story. What more was there to achieve with this apart from potentially failure? It’s hard to motivate people to keep buying into the same thing forever, no matter how noble the cause. And of course, the paid for sales market is running on fumes now too. He said they would keep releasing singles every year until the food banks are no longer needed but I have a hunch this will be the final one. I suspect they’ll find a way through this year - just - but 1-1-1-1-1-13 is not a legacy they will want. Anyway, hopefully the second version will be way more uplifting and fun.
December 18, 20223 yr They were on 79k on the Monday mids last year so no doubt their sales will have just about halved. Which really does open the door for Wham! :o Down massively on last years First Look then. If that percentage drop was extrapolated to the final sales figures he would be TOAST!

Tomorrow’s numbers will be interesting, Wham! are presumably tracking for about 65k so that’s his target, they’ve got five days (including today) to do another 40k basically - I suspect it’s possible as they’ll do everything they can.
