I imagine surely quite a few of those Xmas tracks will drop before Friday as less and less people will be willing to play Xmas music. I hope Kelly can at least hold on to her new peak, would love her to go top 10 with underneath the tree at some point it truly deserves it.

Stormzy will be dropping just as hard as the Christmas songs surely :P

I hope Nat King Cole and Coldplay hang on. They hardly make the top 40 like the others do (or in NKC's case never). I guess Jackson 5 will drop out though. Would have also been an addition against the ones we always hear in the chart every Christmas.

The thing is they are all going to be pretty far ahead of the majority of the non-Christmas songs. And Thursday streams will probably be overstated for them because the OCC algorithm is not very good. The post-Christmas chart last year only had 7 non-Christmas songs, mostly in the 31-40 section, if I'm counting correctly and again that was with only 2 pre-Boxing Day streaming days compared to 3 this week so I'd expect that number to be lower this time.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if the Amazon songs drop out to be replaced either by other Christmas songs or maybe 2 or 3 of Taylor Swift, SZA and Bugzy Malone but I think the rest have a good chance of staying in.

If Mariah's "Merry Christmas" climbs to at least #31 this week, that means it'll reach a new peak 28 YEARS after its original peak.

Would love to see it get a new peak but don't think it will as streaming of her x mas songs will fall rapidly.

Great to see Kelly/Ariana getting a new peak(much better than Santa Tell Me in Arianas case) and Nat King Cole and acoldplay in there.

 

Also great to see ‘Christmas Drillings’ still in the top 40 and having a conventional top 40 new Xmas song chart run unlike Ladbaby!

 

Would like to see Buble hold on in the albums as it would be yet another unique Xmas when it’s no1 in its chart run. I also get that he has loads of playlisted songs but surely its a circle it’s on so many playlists because it’s so popular? Anyway we will see the breakdown if he’s no1 on Friday and decide then. I for one listened to the whole album last week!
