December 29, 20223 yr It's the song 'Marvin Gaye' by Charlie Puth & Meghan Trainor. Which is garbage. Yeah... this.

December 29, 20223 yr Looks like Stormzy getting the #1 next week  RAYE at #2 and Central Cee #3 and whatever next :D As someone else mentioned - Stormzy is nowhere to be seen on Spotify, and I can’t find it on Apple either. Even if it is being force fed to people on Amazon, outside of the Christmas period streaming on Amazon does not count the much so it will plummet. On another note, I’m still trying to find my way around these forums. Does anyone know if anyone here has attempted to create a list of the all-time best sellers combining digital and physical? I’ve made a list, but I want to compare it with anything that has been made previously before I share it. Edited December 29, 20223 yr by GreyAsh

There’s a pinned topic called Millionaire Singles. The first post is based on combined sales and streams but if you scroll to the second post there’s a sales only version. :)
December 29, 20223 yr If you include imports, it looks like the biggest climb to #1 within the Top 100 was Usher - Burn in 2004 as it has a separate OCC entry at #98 the week before. (From the list of every UK #1 single in the Chart Vault)
December 29, 20223 yr Tbh I think almost all of the huge post 2000 ones have been due to charting on imports, charting on stream only or some other limited avalability before the hike. Was that Labrinth one purely because of X Factor or was it not fully available before. If it was that’s probably the largest climb down soley to an increase in popularity.
December 29, 20223 yr I’m expecting some of the Xmas songs in the 36-40 region to drop out by tomorrow
December 29, 20223 yr Possibly three new peaks as she had a third song ('Under The Mistletoe') debut in the top 100 last week too!
December 29, 20223 yr Kelly Clarkson should have a good chance of repeaking this year. Band Aid, Shakin Stevens and the Pogues dont seem nearly as popular this year as other years and same with Elton Johns Step into Christmas and Chris Rea but im looking forward to seeing where they all peak on Fridays chart for 2022.
December 29, 20223 yr If SZA did get to #1 then it would be awkward as the chart show seem to be refusing to play it.
