Agree I think it's more lack of streaming data

It doesn’t matter if Sam gets #1 again or not I just think it’s funny how people constantly underestimate him and he proves them wrong and the press couldn’t dig up their usual dirt :lol:.

 

I hope Raye gets number 1 what an achievement for her :wub:

Sam will be up on last week due to his NYE performance, remains to be seen how much.

I really hope SZA will release SOS cds this upcoming friday or the next. It would push her to no. 1

If something, she's gonna release the vinyl at some point but sure she's gonna make us wait months for an announcement and sure then there will be a pre-order and more months of waiting, maybe xmas :D artists like SZA don't release CDs, in the US (her main market) she's doing more than fine with streams alone.

Well, SZA did drop the CTRL cd only a month after its digital release, then the vinyl 5 months later. So she does release cds really. a lot of A list artists who have success in the americas

Have been doing that. e.g. The Weeknd (Dawn. FM), Gunna (DS4EVR), Future (I Never Liked You), even Bad Bunny (Un Verano Sin Ti)

^sure that was 5 years ago, things have changed a lot in the last 5 years and the CD is kinda dead now. It would make zero sense to release them next week imho. why? cos of the dead UK market? she has more chances with a deluxe/expanded version just on streams alone again

Did you read the last line of my post, those are all albums released in the last 12 months. btw i will use Dawn FM as an example, one cds were released of the record it nearly shot back to no.1, it benefited the record a lot.

I kinda guessed that since Kendrick & SZA were on the same label that they may do the same. Anyway i hope she releases cds, but i don't know if she will.

I don't think Sam is miraculously selling 8k more than last week when he did 4.6k.

 

He also didn’t have major press coverage from his NYE show and decent viewing figures and a new digital version of his album last week so I don’t think it will be ‘miraculous’ to see a decent chart boost and potential return to the top.

looks like Sam released yesterday a Super Ultra Deluxe version of the album (25 songs total) so they're really trying

That's a serious amount of songs on an album but value for money.

I would love Madonna to chart, her song is really popular atm and doing well on streaming

Actually we'll know hopefully in the first set of mids, which should be tomorrow (though the Jan resets didn't come into effect until the Wed mids last year)

Does this equate to about 850 chart sales? If so, added to iTunes sales she's probs done 1.5k, which isn't good enough to chart is it? Even if this doubles by the end of the week?
