January 24, 20233 yr Genuinely never heard of either top 2 album artist this week. Glad it's not just me then. Surprised Maneskin are that low, thought they'd be a shoo-in for #1. P!nk better make the top 40 this week, it's tantalising that it keeps showing up in the mids then ends up falling way short.

January 24, 20233 yr Slightly disappointed in Maneskins sales in that way of not knowing what sales they would get to begin with. Hope Pink makes the top 40, Miley smashes through 100k and Fallout Boy gets another top 100 single!

January 24, 20233 yr I thought that Maneskin would do very well in the charts after their first few hits, but because they released songs since then which didn't do very much I'm not that surprised at the album sales.

To be fair, not having singles chart doesn't stop a lot of rock bands from having good album sales. It just seems like they haven't built a particularly big fanbase here yet.
January 24, 20233 yr Maybe if your posts weren't such essays people would be more inclined to read them :lol: Eh I know some of my posts are kinda long but this is the one I'm referring to, I'd hope this isn't too much of an 'essay' unless you have the attention span of a goldfish x I'd love to see them going to #1 but I'm not sure I'd be that confident! We've not yet had a test of how well they will do with a co-ordinated physical release, the previous album was a slow burner and mostly based on streaming. (Also fair to say the hype around them has subsided a bit now). Of course the bar for #1 probably won't be that high so fingers crossed they do still have the fanbase for it. Should definitely at the very least be top 10 anyway you'd think which would still be a big improvement after 'Teatro D'Ira Vol. I' never quite made the top 40. Supermodel did fine off the back of Eurovision and I thought The Loneliest could have charted in the top 100 but since they won Eurovision in May 2021 their label haven't bothered to grow their fanbase here. Casual fans were annoyed they cancelled their only UK festival performance for the VMAs. I know people that cancelled their O2 tickets to see them because they would rather be in Liverpool for Eurovision. Edited January 24, 20233 yr by Megan_
