Posted January 27, 20232 yr I’ll give you a clue from some past posts; The Persephonian and Jadakissnian delegations seated together *.*Welcome to all the new nations from the Zanmatonese. :welcome:Baby Queen will forever be a Thelonian icon xoThe Bronzilians have spoken! You get the picture, so what are your citizens referred to as?
January 27, 20232 yr Same x (my original demonym was Egabbaci, to be able to contribute to this thread x)
January 27, 20232 yr Author I didn’t really think it through when making this thread but it seems that the majority of nations end with “ia” which would naturally lend itself to a versions of “ians” but there could be scope for another type. I guess Yobnedoricans? How about Yobmans (like Germans)? Beaverdonia are a very Beavish nation (if that’s such a thing).
January 28, 20232 yr Author my original demonym was Egabbaci, to be able to contribute to this thread x That’s going to need some context for those less well informed like me…
January 28, 20232 yr That’s going to need some context for those less well informed like me… My country was called Egabbac before I changed it to Persephonia.
January 28, 20232 yr It's Séyetan, which I've seen other people using :D partly because of a desire to not have the redundant Séyetanan or the awkward and basic Séyetanians (either is the case with most countries ending in 'na' - though, consider, Séyetanese!) but partly because I like it this way, demonyms don't always need to be suffixes (I think I also considered Séyet at one point), it gives off a bit more of a fictional, slightly wild vibe
January 28, 20232 yr Tempted to take a leaf out of Vanuatu's book and change our official demonym to Ni-Persephonia x
January 28, 20232 yr My country was called Egabbac before I changed it to Persephonia. Was it deliberately “cabbage” backwards or just a genuine coincidence?! I feel like either is just as likely!
January 28, 20232 yr the Danævii public voted heavily against being called Danaeviians the last time such a poll was ran also just noticed Danævii = Dan Navy lol but I like it
January 28, 20232 yr It's Dobagan. Not Dobagonian which has been incorrectly assumed in the past! (Because of Tobagonian no doubt).
