It seems hardly anybody uses Youtube anymore though compared to in the past. Seems like none of the recent big hits have made it anywhere near 1 billion streams for example.

Was curious about this and looked into it. It does seem like that sort of mass music video watching peaked around 2018, just in the space of that year 13 different music videos hit 1 billion views. In 2022, not including "Baby Shark", the most viewed music video is one T-Series uploaded over a decade ago that's raking in a lot of views over time (esp. as India's YouTube presence continues to grow). But that video 'only' got 700 million views. The next highest is "Tití Me Preguntó" which might be closer to a billion if it had been out all year but still only gets a little over 600 million views in 2022. I wonder if it's just a case of music being usurped by other forms of media like TV/film which continue to get relatively easier to engage with while music is the same as always. I'd say it's people switching to audio platforms to listen to music but I'm not sure Apple/Spotify are showing significant growth lately?

But then more recently we had Potter Payper's 'Gangsteritus' which had a remix tagged as 'Part 2' which was combined. So basically the answer is 'who knows?', hopefully it will be combined though as it looks like it should give PinkPantheress a new highest chart position to date if so.

and the choruses are the same, first verse is also the same,

they just change the 2nd verse and replaced it entirely by a new one done by the feature

 

so not sure, it's not a continuation, a part 2, rather a remix switching 1 verse, so should be combined imho

I swear that Central Cee turd stole the thunder of Just For Me. The original was a viral sound on TikTok before that, might have got a higher peak if it was the only song out with that hook.
