I wasn't sure that Taylor would be able to overcome the Madonna, Kylie and Gaga stans on here but definitely thought she'd be top 5 :o

I did love her 1989 album but the back-to-back of folklore and evermore really cemented me as a proper fan  her career trajectory is fascinating.

Taylor is amazing, along with Dua one of my favourite modern chart artists.

Everything she does is fascinating, I got her debut album back in 2008 before she broke through here and have mostly loved everything since! I probably should have put her a little higher in my vote really.

Taylor is an artist that does nothing for me. Just kind of there. I mean "Shake it Off" and "LoveStory" are kind of iconic but the rest is so so average. There's singer songwriters who go far deeper and pop/dance singers who produce better bangers.

I like early Taylor Swift albums, but lost any interest in her music after "Lover".
Taylor would've probably been my 30 (I will post my would-be list at the end), her career journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster to say the least and after Red and 1989, she had some pretty low lows, but the highs have just got even higher since then. Folklore remains one of my favourite albums of the decade and she consistently produces some of the best quality pop songs of the last decade. I think it was the new version of All Too Well compared to her old one where it really hit me how far she's come over the last decade.
I'm floored Taylor is this low, I was convinced she was a shoo-in for the top 3, especially with her current iconic status.

Taylor is somewhat similar to Beyoncé for me in having a lot of stuff I both love and hate, I'd say I'm a bit more of a 'fan' of Taylor overall as she has delivered 3 very strong albums ('1989', 'folklore' and 'evermore') and I do like the majority of 'Lover' and 'Midnights' too, but I'm not sure that I'd have ranked her that highly as she's delivered a few too many unbearable moments, mostly earlier on in her career but still occasionally to this day #certifiedkarmahater.

I am a bit surprised she's not in the top 5 as well though!

Yeah I didn't vote either so another 30 ;) ;) You know what they say.. she's the MUSIC INDUSTRY
No love for Taylor from me… she just leaves me cold. I simply don’t get the appeal. Am I missing something? Lanky woman writes angst ridden, lyric heavy tunes that (aside from Cardigan) that are shockingly dull?

Taylor’s definitely went up in my estimations since the last ranking. (But I do prefer every female still to come to Taylor except one although I stupidly left one of my list  ).

folklore and evermore are two of my favourite albums of the 2020s decade and when she gets it right she really gets it right. 1989 was also a masterpiece of a pop album and then I think reputation, Lover and Midnights all have high highs but a few skips on them with Midnights being the best overall *just*. Her non pop work is definitely a bit more authentic to her like I wouldn’t be mad at her returning to country music again for another studio album at some point but she’s definitely amongst the most versatile artists out there the only real weakness I’d say she has is that even though she can sell out tours like it’s nothing as a live act I’m still yet to really be wowed but maybe that’s just me?

She’s someone who has much better stronger album tracks to singles so I’m definitely thankful I’ve always been someone who listens to full albums as her single choices don’t do her justice but she’s definitely a real force and one strong songwriter. It’s so interesting to see how at the moment everything she’s touching is just turning to gold she’s one very very smart woman (but also one who’s talented along with it).

Taylor  What an artist and easily one of the best lyricists to ever put pen to paper in the music industry. The only thing I don't really like anymore is how everything she does now is so contrived in "hidden messages" and "clues" because it's bred some really horrendous Taylor fans where EVERY damn thing is a conspiracy, even when it's not. It's so annoying whenever someone appears on my Tik Tok for example and I immediately roll my eyes and scroll on. It was fun to begin with but now it's just unbearable.

But I love her. Stellar back catalogue! Near perfect albums in 'Speak Now', '1989' and 'folklore'. The only album of hers I'm not so keen on (but even then, the highs are great) and it's... 'everbore'. Such a snoozefest.

Here's how I've fared so far with my top 14 predictions:

14. Kelly Clarkson (14)

13. Katy Perry (12)

12. Kate Bush (13)

11. Whitney (08)

10. Beyoncé (09)

09. Adele (10)

08. P!nk

07. Dua Lipa (11)

06. Britney

05. Rihanna

04. Taylor (07)

03. Madonna

02. Kylie

01. Lady Gaga

Not bad. I overestimated Dua by a little bit. I assumed 'Future Nostalgia' woulda boosted her much higher.

Hoping P!nk is next to leave.

Yeah I think it'll now go as per the above i.e.

6 P!nk

5 Britney

4 Rihanna

3 Madonna

2 Kylie

1 Lady Gaga

If I'd voted in the previous incarnation of this, Taylor probably wouldn't have made my votes, so it's fitting that my two faves from her are from since then - All Too Well (10 Minute Taylor's Version) and exile, while Anti-Hero might catch up with I Knew You Were Trouble as next in line. She is undoubtedly the biggest female pop star of the moment.

My prediction would be

6. P!nk

5. Rihanna

4. Britney

3. Lady Gaga

2. Madonna

1. Kylie

If Haus and some of the other Gaga forum regulars participated in this we could have gotten Gaga the win but I think she’ll be third again but I think Kylie might just edge it this time. Her forum on here is very busy and her last era went down very very well too it could be close but I think Kylie could edge it by having slightly more 30 pointers.

I think that's how I can see it going too, although I wouldn't be surprised at a Gaga or Britney win either.

I kinda hope Rihanna is out next, because let's face it she hasn't done anything good in aeons.
