May 20, 20232 yr Sophie  also fans of some of Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Sheryl and Tove Lo's work too and Aretha of course a legend. Selena is fine too. Did take time coming round to enjoying a song of hers mind.
May 20, 20232 yr Love me a bit of Natalie and Shiver is my fave song by her enjoyed watching that video!
May 20, 20232 yr Sophie being this low is CRIMINAL. Did y'all forget how she basically kept the country going during lockdown?
May 20, 20232 yr That's a pretty steep drop for Sheryl Crow, but in fairness she's done well to still be top 100 on something like this in 2023!

May 21, 20232 yr Fiona with a huge climb , i didnt realise she had only 1 top 40 hit. Can remember when she was briefly huge in the states! Gabrielle, such a class act 😍
May 21, 20232 yr Never been a huge fan of Alison Moyet but always had a soft spot for 'Whispering Your Name' Some pretty big names starting to drop now with Sheryl Crow and Gabrielle, both deserved to be higher. Dido was great for those two huge albums but haven't really liked too much of her stuff since.
May 21, 20232 yr Fiona Apple, I hink had the longest title for an album to chart: When the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king What he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight And he'll win the whole thing 'fore he enters the ring There's no body to batter when your mind is your might So when you go solo, you hold your own hand And remember that depth is the greatest of heights And if you know where you stand, then you know where to land And if you fall it won't matter, cuz you'll know that you're right
May 21, 20232 yr Fiona Apple was the other person in my votes that I was surprised to see in the top 100 as she finished so low last time, what a climb *.* I’ve only been a fan for 3 years (after listening to Fetch the Bolt Cutters) but there was no turning back after that. I checked out all of her albums in lockdown and that discography is bullet-proof! ‘Fast As You Can’ is awesome representation for her in the singles chart, one of my favourites.
May 21, 20232 yr Dido   Rather glad to see that someone else ranked her as high as me but I’d expected her to drop sooner than this so I’m happy with where she’s at. I didn’t actually realise how well she did last time around. Despite her massive success and sales with No Angel and Life for Rent she’s felt very underrated since. Edited May 21, 20232 yr by JLJ
May 21, 20232 yr Love Gabrielle!! Again I forgot about Dido but I do love some of her songs, she would probably have made my top 40.
May 21, 20232 yr Massive climb for Fiona Apple. I absolutely adore her first three albums (four if you include that excellent unofficial Jon Brion version of 'Extraordinary Machine') but do find 'Idler Wheel' and 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters' pretty difficult to get into. Favourite songs include 'Get Him Back', 'Oh Sailor', 'Sullen Girl', 'Limp', 'Paper Bag' and 'Never is a Promise'. I saw her live in London once at the Apollo Victoria- one of only 5 times she's performed in the UK. Very intense memorable performance.
May 22, 20232 yr Dido should be much much higher, so talented! Fiona I always wanna like but cannot really connect, seeing her live was not it either
May 22, 20232 yr Surprisingly high for Fiona Apple. I didn't know much from her, but just gave the Fetch The Bolt Cutters album a listen - it's intense but I quite liked it with the minimal percussive backing. I guess she might be the last artist to appear here without a Top 30 hit, but expect there's at least one more with only one Top 40 (a #24 collab from last year).
