June 4, 20232 yr Siaaaaaa  so many incredible songs and I properly love her voice! Alicia keys is obviously very talented but I've never been that massively into her. 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' and 'Fallin' are absolute tunes though! Great to see Tina register such a big climb, and that's before the sad news of her passing. 'When The Heartache Is Over' is a great choice of song to post :)

June 5, 20232 yr Mel C and Billie have some decent stuff in their output! 'Nothern Star' is brilliant  Northern Star is lush. That album was fantastic so I'm glad its quality singles were recognised and became huge hits, and that Goin' Down didn't harm the chances of the remainder of the era. I do get why she released that track, to well and truly distance herself from the music of Spice Girls, but it was never going to be massive commercial success for her (beyond the week one peak). Definitely the best solo Spice and she wasn't far out of my votes. Ellie getting my mealworm point, I almost left her out but then realised she's produced/featured on many of my favourite songs of the past 15 years, including Miracle this year, and I still adore her first two albums.
June 5, 20232 yr Great climb for Billie! I properly took notice of her from 'you should see me in a crown' onwards and she's had several #1s in my personal chart since then, so thought I'd sneak her into my list. I think 'when the party's over' is still my favourite from her, stunning song  it was going to be tough to follow up WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? but I ended up really enjoying Happier Than Ever as well, she was definitely holding a lot of the best stuff back during the pre-album roll out. Ellie's first couple of eras are great, I spammed the Lights album a lot back in the day. Although I think my favourite song from her overall is still 'Figure 8' <3 I agree that Northern Star is easily the best solo Spice album.
June 5, 20232 yr My favourites from Billie are 'Happier Than Ever' (by some distance), 'TV' and 'everything i wanted'.
June 5, 20232 yr How did Billie escape my mind?!? Would have given her atleast 20 had I thought of her ;(
June 5, 20232 yr Yay so pleased to see Melanie C made top 30 this time, a rise for her too, well deserved after her last album was easily her second best album after Northern Star! ❤️ HOW did I forget to add Ellie to my list!? I love her second album and she has released several excellent songs!! I’m actually really annoyed with myself over that!!!
June 5, 20232 yr The best Spice Girl finished the highest :) I know she's not for some but I adore Mel C's voice, and she has so many great songs. Agree that the whole 'Northern Star' era is pretty great with some fantastic singles, although 'Next Best Superstar' is probably my favourite thing she's ever released. Her collabs with Bryan Adams and Matt Cardle also deserve a mention  I can take or leave Billie Eilish, I've never properly got into her but I do love her Bond theme. Ellie Goulding is a bit hit and miss for me too, she's released some bops but also a lot of singles I never go back to.
June 5, 20232 yr How did Billie escape my mind?!? Would have given her atleast 20 had I thought of her ;( Awww - shame. Did think she'd be slightly higher (or maybe wishful thinking). For someone so young, she is scarily talented. I thought her image was a bit too much for WWAFWDWG (although musically pretty faultless) so glad she softened it slightly for 'Happier than Ever' and let the music speak. Mind you, think the backlashes she gets from her overdemanding fans (over not very much at all) is a bit unnecessary as if she's not allowed to grow as a person. I would say that 'Everything I Wanted' is the most uncommercial long lasting top 10 hit of all time (I'm not including tracks that went 7-25 say). It spent 10 non consecutive weeks in the top 10 and the subject matter and tone of it just isn't that kind of record. Genuinely love most of her songs so no particular favourites.
June 6, 20232 yr Billie Eyelash is so significantly overrated #SorryNotSorry I have to agree, don't get the hype?
