March 24, 20232 yr Kiesza is the first one I really like that's been eliminated even though I truly only like 1 song of hers lol at the vote for Sabrina, someone obsessed with her breasts when they were like 11 years old? hahaha
March 24, 20232 yr I cannot say I remembered Becky G ever having a UK top 40 hit! (The song title rings a bell vaguely) Kiesza is a good shout from this batch (she's had some great singles since she stopped charting, and her two top 5 hits were fab ofc), Tammy Wynette also a legend just for her The KLF collab tbh. Lol at Billie Piper x
March 24, 20232 yr If I had voted in this then Billie Piper would be higher than all that other lot. Gezza pulling through with the TASTE.
March 24, 20232 yr Loved both 'Hideaway' and 'Giant In My Heart' by Kiesza! Tapestry by Carole King is of course a classic record and the song of hers highlighted, way before that album, 'It Might As Well Rain On Me' is good also. +1 for 'Justified & Ancient' love *.* not really a huge Billie fan but 'Day & Night' is decent from her chart toppers, quite Britney/NSYNC. Normani still not releasing an album after teasing one in 2018 :drama:
March 24, 20232 yr Some strong dropouts there! Love Kiesza, she's so damn under-rated  'Hideaway', 'Giant In My Heart', 'No Enemiesz' are all 10/10 bops, but also love a lot of her later stuff including her 'Crave' album from a couple of years ago. I don't know much by Tammy but yeah her contribution to 'Justified & Ancient' was nothing less than iconic *.* Billie released some fun little pop gems during her relatively short career, 'Day & Night' was the definitely highlight of those! That's some serious cleavage on Sabrina! 'Boys (Summertime Love)' and 'All Of Me' are both defining songs of the late 80s pop sound and I still play them occasionally. All I really know by Liza Minelli is her PSB-produced 'Results' album which is brilliant. Don't think I've lost any of my votes yet!
March 24, 20232 yr Author Wasn't there some controversy over the Boys (Summertime Love) music video? Yes, the promo features Sabrina in a pool where a "wardrobe malfunction" happens which escaped the censors at TOTP and BBC1 and was shown at prime time. A big deal back in the 80s.
March 24, 20232 yr Loved Billie Piper back in the day, completely forgot to include her in tips though. Most likely would’ve taken a bottom 5 place.
March 24, 20232 yr Carol King and Ashanti made history! The only real under appreciated legends so far!
March 25, 20232 yr Author NO 262- 8 POINTS JOAN BAEZ ( )(voter: Pete From Leeds) 5 UK TOP 40 HITS BIGGEST HIT: THE NIGHT THEY DROVE OLD DIXIE DOWN (#6, 1971) 28cg3iCEtWM MEGAN THEE STALLION ( )(Voter: JackTheeStallion) 4 UK TOP 40 HITS BIGGEST HIT: WAP (#1, 2020) CTpilDQXYr0 JENNIFER ELLISON ( )(Voter: Chartjack2) 2 UK TOP 40 HITS BIGGEST HIT: BABY I DON’T CARE (#6, 2003) X6KQSlf842s AYRA STARR ( )(Voter: LewisGT) 1 UK TOP 40 HIT BIGGEST HIT: RUSH (#29, 2023) tMqpkG9HYr0
March 25, 20232 yr Joan Baez is the highlight of those for me. I’d never have thought of her when compiling my list but she is very good
March 25, 20232 yr Ayra Starr swanning in ahead of some legends just weeks after getting her first top 40 hit. (I know she has been around for a while without bothering the charts though x) Megan has a few bangers here and there but I do find it a bit hard to feel invested in her as an artist - as clearly most of the UK general public do oops x
March 25, 20232 yr Low for Megan Thee Stallion considering it's Buzzjack I don't think she has a big fanbase on here or seen much vocal love for her other than myself haha. A shame I'm the only voter but she always brings the bops and fully believe she's currently the most talented female rapper currently on the scene and having seen her live is SUCH a great performer.
