February 27, 20232 yr If Birdy is our entry would there really be much point in releasing the song a week early? It would be so obvious she is our entry if Radio 1 and 2 start hammering the song right away as she’s not the sort artist that gets instantly added to their playlist. Last year you could see the thinking behind releasing Space Man early but this year unless they were going to release it in January or the beginning of February to try and make it a hit there’s really no point.

March 3, 20232 yr Who said the announcement was tomorrow? That tweet vaguely hinting at Birdy? Since Birdy's been thrown out now that can be ignored (and that tweet was only using the info we knew about Birdy to sound official anyway, that account is now talking about an announcement next week, surprise surprise) There's been no hype for an announcement, I'd expect it next Thursday as the BBC usually like to announce it on that day of the week. Doubt we'd leave it much later unless the UK want to be the last country to announce this year. I'm still on board the Rina hype train, at this point she's the only artist that makes sense.
