That was a dreadful performance, not really helped by the heavy echo and her cold, obv.

Nice thing: the animations on the screen looks good, but I hope this isn't a preview of her overall performance as it needs to be big to sell the song.

It wasn’t that bad. Obvious room for improvement but she was sick. Sam didn’t perform the same version of Space Man twice at these shows it’s possible we won’t know the actual version until rehearsals.

She was apologizing for days that she wasn’t well but would still be doing the show, she has a lot more ESC events booked over the coming weeks so we’ll see what she’s like then.

The reaction from inside the crowd looked amazing, there are lots of clips on socials from audience members and it seemed all knew the words to the song.

As for the staging/background images it’s good for the performances and obviously they are not going to give anything away yet for how the actual staging will be, Mae has said multiple times they are still working on it.

No one is listening to it in UK, let alone anywhere else  Daz Simpson 2.0. AT least Daz got top 10...

Daz 2.0? Yeah let’s compare chart performances in 2006 and 2023

Top 30 and 2+ million Spotify streams shows that people are listening, and regardless if Mae comes 8th or 18th the fact that for a second year running there is interest in the UK in ESC and we’re not sending acts like Electro Velvet, Michael Rice and Jemini then that’s only a positive.

I thibk you'll find everyone was sayong it waa gonna be a big hit in Eurovision, as it was in the charts. But oops, now it's not! Very bad sign for it.

I must have missed everyone saying that and you’re talking as if the contest is already over you know the results?

On My Eurovision Scoreboard it’s still #8 and has been Top 10 in the rankings since the song was announced.

uk is so bad live, this is why i never hype or judge a entry when they only release a video song instead.

Portugal live performance was one of the best in Barcelona

It really is cool how we have an entrant who's not just personable on social media but actively gets how to interact with the fandom, Sam was great but he did have the PR face on to an extent, Mae is acting like she's part of a huge groupchat.

Also nice that she's getting involved with the other artists and genuinely excited to meet them and be around them, and enjoy the whole experience.

As much as it would be cool to send a huge contemporary star, the chances are the first you would see of them is at the rehearsals, due to their other commitments.

I am still not bored of the song, it is very catchy. The part in the music video where she goes up the stairs and is up in the loft of the house looks like an IKEA advert!

Added to the Radio 1 playlist!

:o

We love the ESC support for our entry - exactly what artists and labels needs to see happening for our entries to get them interested!

That's fantastic, seems super early so could be on for a long run, as I doubt it will be removed and then re-added.
Oh, also, the video version with the intro and talky middle eight is available to stream/download today.

Love the video version - the intro sounds so dramatic

This is plummeting on Eurovision odds. It's not a good sign you know.
Not "plummeting" when it's just only 2 positions down :kink:

UK was top 5 before this song was chosen though.

Well, we're not gonna win, so I won't worry too much about that. Also, not concerned that we're lower in the odds with a song than we were when we had an imaginary song.

Heard it on the radio this morning

V. impressed that UK can write a song, disgusting FLOPS as they all tend to be
