Posted February 23, 20232 yr Pink's Official Top 20 biggest songs in the UK revealed 23 February 2023 | By George Griffiths Pink has always been pop's biggest go-to rulebreaker. In the near 25 years that Alecia Moore has been a solo star - she was originally featured in the line-up of a girl group, Choice, before her record label dropped them and convinced her to go out on her own - she has not been resilient to change. She pulled off one of pop's greatest sonic makeovers, going from the of-the-moment R&B of her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, before switching to anarchic pop-rock on her influential sophomore LP Missundaztood which turned her into one of the brightest stars of her generation, and a fascinating cracked-mirror image of early 00s pop idols like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Then came one of pop's most impressive comebacks with 2006's I'm Not Dead, where Pink pulled herself out of the commercial doldrums with a series of hits - like Stupid Girls, U + Ur Hand and Who Knew - that helped her climb back to the top of the charts. Since 2009's Funhouse LP, Pink has settled into her superstar status like a pro. Although her rougher edges have been sanded off in recent years, her new album Trustfall proves that she hasn't lost her knack for a pop hook. With Trustfall now on track to become Pink's fourth UK Number 1 album, we've now updated her Official Top 20 biggest singles in the UK. Before diving into the Top 20, let's explore the Top 5 in more detail. 5. Raise Your Glass Released: 2010 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 13 Total UK chart units: 1.1 million The beginning of Pink's self-help anthem era (Glee has a lot to answer for, honestly) she teamed up with one of her most valued collaborators - Max Martin - for this jubilant celebration of knowing exactly who you are. With over 1.1 million chart units and a combined 79 million streams, it ranks as Pink's fifth overall biggest song here, although it's the only song in the Top 10 to miss the actual UK Top 10, peaking just outside at Number 13. 4. Lady Marmalade (with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim & Mya) Released: 2001 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK chart units: 1.2 million Where's all my soul sisters? A hallowed relic of pop days gone by, Lady Marmalade saw Pink team up with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya for a super-charged cover of Patti Labelle's 1975 funk classic, co-produced by none other than Missy Elliot. Each one of the foursome is given their chance to shine on the track (although maybe some would disagree with that!) and once Pink is front and centre, she lets her gritty vocals rip. It was also, fun fact, her first UK Number 1 single, as well as her most physically purchased (over 411,000 copies). 3. So What Released: 2008 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK chart units: 1.3 million Now, this is how you do a break-up anthem. Licking her wounds from her split from husband Carey Hart (although the two would reunite on the set for the track's music video and are still married today!) So What chugs along with an enviable streak of rage, matched with some truly funny lines (What if this song's on the radio? Then somebody's going to die!). It's Pink's fourth most-streamed track in the UK, with over 83 million combined streams, and is also (another chart fact for you here) a very rare solo production credit from Max Martin. A pop song! 2. What About Us Released: 2017 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 3 Total UK chart units: 1.5 million Pink re-emerged in 2017 with her album Beautiful Trauma, after nearly half a decade had passed since 2012's The Truth About Love. For that album's lead single, she teamed up with hit-maker of the moment Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie) for a wistful synth-pop album about the state of the world in 2017 which was...a lot, wasn't it? What About Us ranks as Pink's second-biggest song in the UK, but is actually her most-streamed track overall - with 143 million streams across audio and video. 1. Just Give Me A Reason (with Nate Ruess) Released: 2012 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 2 Total UK chart units: 1.9 million Teaming up with fun. frontman Nate Ruess (remember fun.?!), Just Give Me A Reason was the biggest hit from The Truth About Love, although it never actually hit Number 1 in the UK, peaking at Number 2 and kept off the top spot by the surprising return of Ant and Dec's fictional pop duo PJ & Duncan. Nevertheless, this breazy break-up anthem produced by Jeff Bhasker (Taylor Swift, Kanye West) ranks as Pink's Number 1 biggest single in the UK - collecting over 1.9 million chart units in total. Although it's only her second-biggest song on streaming (133 million streams), its video is actually her most-streamed ever (22 million plays). February 23, 20232 yr Well that list reads like a list of some of the most iconic pop songs of the last 20 years *.* it's bop after bop! No real surprises in the ordering although I thought 'U + Ur Hand' was one of her best remembered so was expecting to see that one a little higher up maybe. Not complaining though as she's got so many anthems! EDIT: Actually 'Don't Let Me Get Me' not being in her top twenty is quite a shock :o although I see it's only just fallen out. February 23, 20232 yr It’s a shame DLMGM has fallen out but she just has too many good songs to fit into a top 20 these days, this is one of the rare examples of these lists that not only justifies a top 20 but could also do with a top 30 at this point. She is one of the best artists or her generation without a doubt.
February 23, 20232 yr They could easily have done a top 40 tbh I mean if they do a top 20 for S Club 7 funny how Raise Your Glass was a surprise underperfomance at the time and now it's in her top 5
February 23, 20232 yr Seems odd that Get The Party Started isn't top 10, for a long time it felt like her signature hit but I guess it really isn't anywhere near that now. U & Ur Hand is so ridiculously low, while Raise Your Glass is impressively high, never particularly seemed that big at the time, I guess it must have really racked up the catalogue streams.
February 23, 20232 yr Can't say I'm surprised RYG is that high, it feels like a song you still hear everywhere.
February 23, 20232 yr Sober remains one of the best Pink singles for me...shame it's not streaming that well!!!
February 23, 20232 yr I still remember when Raise Your Glass was released and everybody we were all like oh this is 100% sure debut at #1 and just went at #13 and was so shocked and thought but sure is gonna climb next but alas...

February 23, 20232 yr Those are some great album sales! 'Funhouse' is my favourite P!nk album so I'm happy to see that in the top three, even if her GH will soon overtake - not that I'm complaining as that's one of the most solid GH collections ever.
February 23, 20232 yr I still remember when Raise Your Glass was released and everybody we were all like oh this is 100% sure debut at #1 and just went at #13 and was so shocked and thought but sure is gonna climb next but alas... If it was a lead single from an album it would have done better. For some reason, singles from GH collections never seem to do quite as well as album leads, I've never quite understood why. That said, 'F***ing Perfect' was the second release from the GH and defied expectations by outpeaking 'Raise Your Glass'!
February 23, 20232 yr Please Don’t Leave Me, Sober & U + UR Hand deserve to be higher. Great list though.
February 23, 20232 yr Amazing list. To think she has 20 gold certified singles as well! Certainly one of the most enduring/successful singers compared to her peers from her time. I have a feeling "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" and "Trustfall" will likely worm themselves into the list in future. Great to have an albums list as well. I can see Trustfall outdoing her last album in total sales with how successful the first couple singles have been and that the album has been doing fairly decent streaming numbers on Amazon/Apple Music! Her upcoming tour is likely be massive and record breaking. It's amazing how she can command such massive tours. She's on par with the likes of Madonna in that regard.
February 23, 20232 yr What about us being above so what feels wrong That’s the streaming era for you. I’m Not Dead is my favourite ever album. The memories I have associated with it. Immense I don’t recall anyone thinking Raise Your Glass would be no.1. Top 5 maybe but Q4 in 2010 was an unbelievably competitive era. RYG hung around well into the new year and sales were generally on the rise unlike the early 2000s when she has her highest peaks so it quickly became one of her biggest sellers. I recall at one point it was only outsold by So What and Lady Marmalade. It’s great that Who Knew and Just Like A Pill seem to be streamed pretty consistently.
