Out next it is the 2nd Justin Timberlake track to feature in this particular survivor and it's 'Rock Your Body', released in May 2003, it reached number 2 in the official chart and in doing so became his 3rd consecutive #2 peaker as well. All of his first three singles missed #1 and took him until 2006 to achieve his first chart topper. Interesting stat now that I found.. RYB was originally intended for Michael Jackson's Invicible album in 2001 but Jacko rejected it along with several other tracks which led to it eventually falling into JT's lap and considering Justin was compared to the King of Pop in some ways it does add up somewhat now. It would have been interesting to see how MJ would have done with the song all the same and whether he'd have bagged himself a #1 with it or not or whether he'd also peak at 2 or even lower had he released it.

Between Metro Station and The Chemical Brothers for me now but gone for the former first as although I like it.. it's stayed long enough now that it needs to go.
Unfortunately I'm gonna have to vote for Silence from now as I'd be more likely to actively listen to the other 6. Such a strong survivor this one!

As much as I'm not a fan of either particularly I'm the same. I did think RYB would last a few more rounds tbh :lol:

What is this Justin vendetta, his 00s material is almost flawless, you will all deal xx

Rock Your Body is fab and the second best track on the list, great pop song.

 

Maroon 5 mildly catchy and inoffensive, gets my vote. Until the Jagger monster they tended to be the Lighthouse Family of the 00's (but not as good).

Metro Station.

 

Rock Your Body has gone out two or three rounds early for me.

Right now BJSC is out of the way hosting etc I can get back to these :P

 

Will put up a new round a bit later on though as I need to see what's to appear lol. The next round of this survivor will be up shortly though!
