PH didn't have a huge hit like Flowers before its release, and dropped in the same week as two big British acts (Steps and Gary Barlow) which made it more difficult for her.
March 8, 20233 yr Oh yay PinkPantheress fiiiinally actually outselling Miley - although unfortunately think it is likely too little too late, unless there were enough CD sales to bridge the gap this week. I expect the album release will see Miley racing back ahead next week, maybe PinkPantheress could still hang around long enough to contend again after that wears off but that just gives more time for something else to rise as a challenger (not least Miley's own next single). Libianca looking more comfortable for top 10 at least though so should get 1 of my 2 hopes for the singles chart this week. Pretty sure The Lathums will still hold #1 in the albums (slowthai only closed the gap by about 1.6k and would need to close it by another 2.4k) but that's a much bigger increase since Monday than I expected for slowthai! Although judging by that physical/download/streaming breakdown I'm guessing that some of what he's added was just a physical sales reporting delay, so not expecting him to continue increasing at the same rate to the final chart. Still hoping it may be possible for him to get to 15k. I was actually thinking 'TYRON' did around 19k for some reason but just looked it up and it was only 16.9k (may have just been flipping the digits in my memory) so his sales are holding up even better than I thought!
March 8, 20233 yr I know PP doesn't yet have a big, established fanbase but I think she could potentially shift enough CDs to bridge the gap required. (although I sincerely hope not)

It might be overhyping but there is Calvin/Ellie, a new Ed Sheeran single and always the potential for another surprise out of the gate smash before the end of the month. Not to mention the potential for Miley's second single to have a strong impact.
