March 14, 20232 yr Nothing's as good as 'Euphoria', and probably ever will be. But 'Tattoo' more than holds its own.
March 14, 20232 yr Sorry to ruin your party but Cha Cha Cha will win the ESC :P It's like a worse version of Ukrsine's Shu Am, and that only came 2nd!
March 14, 20232 yr do you guys really think Tattoo is as good as Euphoria? Heard it only twice but the hook didn't seem as good as the one in Euphoria I just heard it this morning for first time and wasn't a big fan. Seems very shouty/strained in parts.
March 14, 20232 yr I’ve been assuming that Ukraine will win again. Even if the number of political voters decrease, they still have the “advantage” of all of them being towards one track rather than other votes which will be split across the field.

It won't help that their entry is incredibly dull this year though.
March 14, 20232 yr Sorry to ruin your party but Cha Cha Cha will win the ESC :P There's no way on planet earth that is going to win with a 50% jury vote. It may well win the televote, but the juries will kill it's chances.
March 14, 20232 yr ^ that's now at least the second time you've called the album 'Endless Summer Nights' - it's 'Endless Summer Vacation' :kink: Oh dear . If the title was on the cover I would probably remember correctly (or not!).

March 15, 20232 yr Måneskin did get a boost from TikTok though, the song wouldn't have gone top 20 if it didn't go viral on TikTok right after their win There's a solid chance Loreen might end up doing the same.
March 15, 20232 yr I’ve been assuming that Ukraine will win again. Even if the number of political voters decrease, they still have the “advantage” of all of them being towards one track rather than other votes which will be split across the field. I don't think juries will be as kind to this track as they were with Stefania. There's potential for it to sneak a win if they crush the televote again and do ok with juries, but I don't see their televote score being anywhere near as high as last year. I'd say top five on the televote and low top 10 on the jury vote to give them probably another big hit but not a win. For me, Tattoo is very close to a 10/10, but Euphoria was perfection. The bookies have form in overpredicting returning Swedish winners - Carola was tipped to win in 2006, Charlotte Perrelli was expected to go top five in 2008. They came 5th and 18th. Not that I'm saying Loreen definitely won't win but I don't expect Tattoo to landslide the contest. If it does then great but Eurovision audiences typically don't go for the same thing twice in the modern era so there is a seed of doubt in my mind. It is already smashing left right and centre around Europe on Spotify though so clearly the potential is there. ----- I hope Miracle can climb to No.1, it's my favourite big chart hit for a while, what a banger. So lovely to hear Ellie's voice on a smash again and that production is impeccable. I guess it's inevitable Ed's lead will get there though so Miracle will need to get up there quickly.
March 15, 20232 yr I don’t see Ukraine getting a big sympathy vote this time, not that people don’t still care but I think that sort of thing only happens once. Plus Stefania was genuinely great anyway - the sympathy vote only turned it from Top 5 to a win, not from placing nowhere to a win. (Sorry I know the prediction thread’s been derailed a bit.)
March 15, 20232 yr There was a Ukrainian refugee competing in Melodifestivalen alongside Loreen who ended up bombing in the final. Plus Ukraine only came 9th in Junior Eurovision last year. That's some solid evidence already that Ukraine aren't just winning everything by default. Cue them still LadBabying their way to 5 consecutive wins anyway
March 15, 20232 yr The televote winner in the Junior Eurovision, incidentally, was a female pop banger from...United Kingdom *.* (Go Mae!)
