If This Was a Movie (Taylor's Version) For me: 1. Safe & Sound (Taylor's Version) - on like my 5th listen now and honestly the re-recording is impeccable <3 <3 Will be returning to this so much, what a masterpiece and glad its still amazing in this version <3 2. Eyes Open (Taylor's Version) - this is sounding so good re-recorded! <3 3. All of the Girls You Loved - its really nice but lowkey don't think I'm going to return to it much at all. Instantly better than London bomb, I wish I forgot that you existed and death by hearing this song, so it should've made the final cut on Lover 4. If This Was a Movie (Taylor's Version) - highkey will probably not return to this after this week, the original is not even in my top 150 Taylor songs so yeah its never been a major fave of mine
March 17, 20232 yr All Of The Girls You Loved Before is suchhh a bop! I hadn't heard the full leak, but snippets came up on my fyp and it was a bop! Someone mentioned it sounded like Ms Americana & THBP which i really do hear! Its kinda like a cross between Ms Americana & False God imo, and i LOVE it! Safe & Sound, it was one i liked but didnt Love before, Its still the same. I do like it a lot though! And iconic that the got the civil wars to almost reunite for it! Eyes Open was the hunger games track i prefered of the two anyway, and its still the same. its a bop! If This Was A Movie is cute, but i agree, it feels more fesrless than tv so glad thats how its being pushed! im liking how its setting up speak now tv, hope we get that soon!

March 17, 20232 yr Maybe I'm being thick but other than "All The Girls You Loved" , I can't find any of these on Spotify at all? It's because they all have funky release dates so they're not showing up as "new" tracks. I wonder if that's on purpose in typical Taylor easter egg fashion, drawing out some hidden meaning that maybe isn't even there at all lol.
March 17, 20232 yr 'All of the Girls You Loved Before' is quite boring. Like, it's fine, but I definitely see why it's a leftover. I still don't *quite* understand the love for 'Safe and Sound' either. I always think I like it more than I actually do when I listen to it. It's nice enough, but it wouldn't even make my top 10 on 'folklore' (the sound I think it best fits) tbh. 'Eyes Open' is an underrated Taylor song. I do think she's done this sound better (the stadium rock-lite sound) but I'm happy we have a TV of this! 'If This Was A Movie' is cute. Not essential. But cute. As always it's nice to actually have TV versions of these songs. But apart from EO, I'm not sure I'll be going back to any of them, beyond the first week or so.
March 17, 20232 yr I hadn't heard If This Was A Movie much before, but listening now I'm realising how much the chorus sounds exactly like the chorus of Innocent? I can see why All Of The Girls wasn't on Lover as songs like False God / Afterglow essentially do that sound better, but nice to have it anyway - I wonder if we'll get official versions of the other songs that leaked with it too?

March 17, 20232 yr 'All The Girls...' is really good, better than a few songs on Lover but not as good as some others. Probably about middling on a (mostly) solid album for me.

March 18, 20232 yr All of the girls you loved before is great - I agree with what others have said that I'd put it midway in the lover album. I've listened to it quite a few times now. I was pretty underwhelmed with the rest but that mostly because I never listen to these songs anyway. If this was a movie (weird how it has the fearless cover) and Safe and sound have never been my favs but she sounds great in these new versions. Listening to Eyes Open has reminded me how good it is - perhaps I'll return to this more now.
