March 20, 20233 yr With less than 500 sales between Calm Down & The Weeknd, could that even get to #3? Really disappointed that Calvin/Ellie aren't on track for the No.1. And that Mother thing in the top 30? Are people actually ok?
March 20, 20233 yr Meghan is coming for another top 5 with this isn't she? :puke2: What a truly horrific thought.
March 21, 20233 yr Good to see so many potential new entries into the top 40 this week, the chart doesn't feel too stale for once.
March 21, 20233 yr Well that report is the first I've heard of there being another remix of 'People' with Cian Ducrot lmao *_* can't really picture him on that song... argh at 'Calm Down' likely coming for yet another new peak too but can hardly say it's undeserved when its numbers have been continuing to tick up over the last few weeks. And looks like we may be getting a second solo BTS top 40 hit (first entirely solo) just 2 weeks after the first. Also not complaining at 'Creepin'' getting a reset tbh, felt like that went to ACR a bit soon x :frankie: the version of People with Cian Ducrot is actually charting on Amazon!!!
March 21, 20233 yr Also not complaining at 'Creepin'' getting a reset tbh, felt like that went to ACR a bit soon x I don't really agree with this, it felt like it was about time and ACR served the purpose it was intended. It may have perhaps felt soon compared to all the others that routinely dodge ACR, now that the entire concept of it seems to have eaten its own tail.
March 21, 20233 yr MS LARSSON YOU BETTER (will fall to #48 by the end of the week so let’s celebrate this midweek top 40 like it’s REAL!)
March 21, 20233 yr And that Mother thing in the top 30? Are people actually ok? Dear God, I hadn't heard this yet and went to have a listen... just really awful.
March 21, 20233 yr I actually agree that Creepin seemed to go to ACR too early, so also glad it's back up near the Top 10 again. This week, Players has also gone ACR a little too early for me. I guess like every rule there will be a way to avoid them or reverse them. I'm not convinced on the 25% increase one (it is 25%, isn't it?) which resets songs... but it is what it is.
March 21, 20233 yr I wonder what Lewis’s 3rd song in the Top 100 will by Friday. Just 10 weeks since Pointless reached #1 and it already fell below Someone You Loved last week.
March 21, 20233 yr ACR is really in need of a reform, it's not entirely fit for purpose when songs can just get reset for silly reasons - this Diddy remix of Creepin isn't giving the song any notable natural popularity boost, not to mention GGG is still plaguing the top 20 the 25% auto-reset rule ought to go too as that just gave As It Was a free extra month in the top 10 which it didn't need resets ought to only be granted for songs that haven't been hits already gaining popularity, or very special cases like RUTH

March 21, 20233 yr Calvin defo deserves a week though, she’s had her reign Sheeran coming to wipe out them both next week though  am i the only one who really doesn't feel like the ed song is going to be that big of a hit? i mean top 10 is probably a safe bet sure but i'd be surprised if it even makes #1 on any streaming service personally. i think at best it could manage 1 week at #1 on occ if he shifts enough cd singles but that's the best case i really see for it. i think the entire album will probably go without a massive hit single, the album itself will debut with like 50k-75k sales, spend a few weeks at #1 then be below = within 10-20 weeks. could be completely wrong ofc but we'll see soon enough.
March 21, 20233 yr I don't see how it won't happen given how huge Bad Habits and Shivers were - of course we're yet to hear it and that will be a huge factor on how people take to it but the first week is definitely sewn up with CDs etc

I think he's said that this is the song that differs from the rest of the album (in that it's an attempt at creating a "formulated chart song" like his previous)

I disagree, of course it’s all about speculation but I’m expecting this lead single to be a huge hit and be a multiple week #1. We’ll just need to wait and see
