I don’t know any of these either!

have you had a listen to any of the songs you’ve not heard of before? :P statistically speaking there will be a lot more minor than major hits propping up here.

'Satellite' is f***ing amazing

(btw is the aim of this game literally to pick your favourite of the two each day, or is there more to it? )

Close the thread, 'Chacarron' cannot be topped :cheeseblock:  I'm also a fan of the My Chemical Romance and Wookie songs so far, Kisstory still sometimes play the latter!

^ I'm doing this thread as a just for fun look back at random UK hits, unless there's any demand for a more formal competition aspect to be made out of it.

16/10/2004 Rachel Stevens More More More 3 {3}-5-11-20-36-40-54-71->8

We start off with a pop classic! Ok maybe it's not, but it should be. The song became the third-biggest hit for ex-SC7 member Rachel Stevens being a cover version of Andrea True Connection. Although at the time, I didn't know it was a cover. It's a great bit of disco-pop here and worth a re-listen.

vs.

23/11/2002 Christina Aguilera Featuring Redman Dirrty 1 {1}-1-3-6-10-19-32-45-60->9

However the indisputable winner here comes from Christina Aguilera as the Spotify shuffle algorithm has plucked out one of her three #1s of the decade. It remains one of the best electropop tracks of the early 00s and a career highlight for her.

Do you have any memories of the following songs and where is your money going on today's roulette wheel spin.

I prefer More More More too, although I don't love it.

I've never liked Dirrty much, although adore the rest of Stripped.

Dirrty is by no means the best song on Stripped but far better than the bland More More More cover. (Much prefer Rachel’s underperforming later stuff.)
‘Dirrty’ has become an evergreen classic that still goes OFF on a night out. I enjoyed her version of ‘More More More’ at the time but it’s not really got a whole lot going for it.
I don't mind 'More More More' actually. Was never a fan of Rachel myself but that's a decent one.. however 'Dirrty' eclipses it for me. Even then though like Rich I prefer pretty much all her follow up singles over it.

'Chaccaron', 'Satellite' (although September's 'Satellites' >>>>>>) and 'Dirrty' for me.

I also enjoy 'More, More, More' tbh.

I’d have said More, More, More 18 years ago as I’ve never been a big fan of Dirty. Now though? I think it has to be Dirty, I don’t go back to either much, though I do like me some solo Rachel Stevens music.
Team 'Dirrty' for me definitely *.* I've never heard it in a club but I have at a house party and it was good fun in that setting too
