Happy to see Rontvia and Scotland 2 in podium as well especially the latter, you brought me back to me being a teenager and in high school.

 

Such a shame that Aeroche couldn't even get Top 10, not that Top 15 is bad but I thought it was one of their strongest efforts...I mean even my friends who I played it they all shazam'ed and loved it!!!

 

Chez, you did an amazing job with hosting so thank you. And least, thank you everyone for the points...it sucks finishing bottom 3 two times in a row lol but I guess I just have to be happy that I get to be part of the final!!!

 

I think I definitely now must to go to my retro roots since I already tried pop (bottom 3) and dance club anthem (bottom 3).

Only got 15 votes in total but that included 2 of each medal, and none of those votes were lower than 6 points, a successful niche entry! Happy to have a new highest position for the year again even if still not top 20, I do actually have an entry lined up for next month already though (unusually early by my recent standards) which I am hoping might appeal to a few more people than my other entries so far this year - I am exiting my alt / Fantanocore era and running back to the dance bloc, the artist seems to be primarily a breakcore artist but would describe this one as a big beat song (i.e. vaguely sounds like it could be The Prodigy). :music:

Blusher is a good winning choice, ik the MUNA comparison has been mentioned 50 times already but it does sound disturbingly close to something they'd release lol (good thing i'm a MUNA fan x)

I finished 5th in what I thought was an unfavourable semi? Omg :kink: wow, I may have not received any gold medals in the final but I got 3 in the semi *.* :heart:

I think that's everything! Before I go and lie down, let me just say thank you all for having me as a host and for the nice comments <3 I've really enjoyed this and it's been a great distraction and opportunity to use the site as a creative outlet again and it came at a good time with how hectic my real life is! I won't lie I've been planning in my head what I wanted to do for quite a while (it's been 10 years!!) and I had a lot of different ideas so I'm glad they came together.

 

Not a huge fan of the winner (I preferred Burbia if anything and was quite surprised this pulled ahead so much when they were quite similar sounds!), but I've had two great months so I won't complain and my 18 did come 2nd (that was quite a :drama: moment when I saw that my 18 was the same country and was 2nd yet again, it was really close at the end so I was praying for a more alt-leaning set of my votes to come in, but not to be </3). My top 2 were amazing discoveries and was hard to split them (Kathaldazia will get their turn as my 18 eventually x). I wish Botanikka had done a bit better, although it was looking like DNQing at one point so at least it made it!

 

I'm ofc. very pleased with 17th, that is well beyond what I expected for an eight minute folk song which I just sent cos I had an AQ, I think that's the most diverse section of voters I've had as well :cheeseblock: Thank you all very much, here's hoping my top 20 streak can continue next month with my blissful 90s Trip hop moment (*DNQs*).

Those jury votes were awful and if you take out my own votes then basically everyone I voted for was at the bottom of the jury.

 

BUT it was a great quality contest and I voted for all of 6th to 10th place. The winner was fine although I don't know how it stood out.

I guess 23rd is respectable for POPHub. Congratz to Lookylion on winning and Chez on a great contest! :cheer:
