I don't think I can remember a Top 10 (other than Christmas) where there are such ancient songs in there, Creepin and Calm Down could even be included.

I did think PinkPantheress was going to overtake Mimi as well as the Lewis reset. She could have only the second four week #12 after You Should Be Sad.

Biography

George Ezra’s spirited folk-pop sing-alongs could have thrived in any era, but their mix of worldly curiosity, unbridled optimism and a few playful loops and synths reflects a truly millennial ideal. Born George Ezra Barnett in Hertfordshire, England in 1993, the singer/songwriter grew up seeking comfort in the wordplay of folk laureates like Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie and the raw, emotional resonance of blues masters like Lead Belly. He trained his voice to sound as bold and booming as the latter, and honed his writing chops while travelling—an activity he’d been fascinated with since falling in love with Paddington Bear as a kid. The fictional teddy would come to inspire Ezra’s 2014 debut album, Wanted on Voyage, a phrase found on Paddington’s suitcase. Singles “Budapest” and “Barcelona” burst with buoyant acoustic hooks while evoking the modest sensibility of Ed Sheeran. They also represent a clear sense of place, and Ezra’s eternal wanderlust, something he slips into each of his effervescent works—whether that’s finding “Paradise” in love or riding “Shotgun” to anywhere. That exuberant joie de vivre feels ever more evocative under the influence of his robust baritone, a soothing sonorousness that goes down like a finely aged wine. - Apple Music

This does feel like an incredibly stale top 10. Why have so few new songs taken off so far in 2023? Sales are so low in the top 10 too, where are the hits!
Honestly not much has changed except he's popular so it's more trendy to hate on him!

Oh sorry, forgot people can’t have an opinion different to you🙄

The way red flags deserved top 10 😭 (at least it wasn’t #11 ig)

And four of the top 10 being songs that were reset :( (two at least made sense with the OCC’a rules, the other two nope though. Especially in the case of the worst song of 2022 going back into the top 10 again ew 🤮). Also kinda annoying that all the resets are ancient songs by male artists and all the big recent female hits are all currently on ACR. (And then even stuff like ceilings hitting ACR when it probs would’ve gone top 5 this week is also frustrating)

Let's not with this... dislike his music, fair enough, but some of the comments made about him on here are unnecessary and unfair.

Does Lewis have 2 re-entries? Cause at the start of the thread, it mentioned there's only 1 re-entry from him so it could only be Pointless.

Both classics that deserved top 10 😭 You Should Be Sad was robbed! (Though I’m still shook it did that well here, especially considering it underperformed in America)

And thanks to the OCC's totally unneccesary manual reset who knows when this will next hit ACR, lol
